mhead Posted July 30, 2020 Author Posted July 30, 2020 Got his silver tongue round all the academy players he produced and how he had to solve the financial problems(thought he caused them?) Of course he loves travelling and managing Clubs in new Countries. Blah blah blah Thanks for coming on, Steve mate, says his old Glasgow "in crowd" buddy Plus ca change..... Quote
Dreams of 1995 Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 Has he been and gone on there now? Any mention of Rovers? The fact Jim White had him on the show after the whole "Venkys, we are coming for you" is hypocritical bullshit and why I never watch the big drama made around him on deadline day. Sod Jim White and sod his show. 6 Quote
tomphil Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 White, Talkshite and the rest all fed or feed at the teet of affiliates of you know who. No other station or reporters worth their salt would even mention Kean unless their wheels were greased he's biggest football no mark in history to retain any kind of news worthiness. 5 Quote
47er Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 I won't listen, that rat is not worth one moment of my time. Nobody's employing him so his agent's fixed him up with some publicity I guess. It won't work..... 6 Quote

We were around breakeven when he was appointed with a £12m overdraft. I bet Venky's dream of those numbers now. They only had to keep us in the premiership for one more season and we would have been a £10m + profit per season club similar to Burnley. We were relegated at the worst possible time. 6 Quote

McClarky Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 Total crook, no reputable club would touch him with a barge pole. Hence the obscure places he’s worked despite the amount of media people bigging him up. 1 Quote
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted July 30, 2020 Moderation Lead Posted July 30, 2020 He’s the biggest prick of all time, there’s legit no way I would have ever tuned in for this. Hope nobody else put themselves through it! 2 Quote
oldjamfan1 Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 I can honestly say when he was at Ewood its the first and only time i have ever felt like encroaching onto the pitch and twatting someone. Even Coyle didn't wind me up as much as Kean. My ex brother-in-law coached him as a young player at Celtic and remembered him as being a gobshyte even then. I wonder if his dog is still alive. 8 Quote

Mattyblue Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 Amazing he still gets airtime 8 years later. Can’t think of many other folk that had one brief (alas not brief enough), failed job in this country nearly a decade ago yet still gets on the radio and in papers... 2 Quote
JHRover Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 Yep. Today Kean is about as relevant in football as Les Reed or Brian Laws are yet only one is getting airtime on leading national radio. I wonder how that can be. Everyone knows by now what Kean is and his activities here are the reason he's spent 8 years in the (tax free) backwaters of Brunei and then some bizarre job in Crete. Must be on the lookout for another gig yet is unemployable in England and probably Europe as a manager. Amazing for such a great coach. You'd think with such great mates like Moyes and Fergie he'd have no problems there. But once again the true colours of Jim White and the Talksport/Sky mob are seen. Always happy to get an old friend on the airwaves. Boy they did a real number on us. And with Merse, Charlie and Co. also there we never had any chance. 6 Quote
