 No allegedly about it .

"

The MoS obtained documents detailing Venky's legal battle with Kentaro, a fight both sides wanted kept secret. I took them to the FA's head of integrity, Newton, spreading them across his desk at Wembley Stadium in 2012.

'Where the hell did you get these?' he said, incredulous. He had no idea a club under the FA's jurisdiction was at war with an FA commercial partner. No action was taken.

Venky's settled out of court with Kentaro after several years."

Not exactly reassuring words there.

What gets me is the say what you like about the start of their tenure, at least they have hung around and paid the bills.

Without going into a huge rant on each point there are more holes in this than a Swiss cheese.

1) For starters when does later behaviour/performance negate crimes? You don't see in court the defence yep them murdered them but you should see all the humanitarian work they have done since. And it doesn't work that way in the real world. If I bumped off a relative you wouldn't give a toss about my charity work.

2) Both analogies however are flawed as it's only because of Venkys that we need them to keep us financially afloat. Not sure how this has been forgotten or us overlooked. Surely it is a reminder of their crimes rather than a positive, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

3) There's also the overlooked issue of why they keep us afloat. Imo it's because to sell or admin reveals too many dark secrets. It's not out of the kindness of their hearts. No one praises kidnappers or hostage people for keeping their captives alive or think they are good eggs because of it.

4) The argument falls down massively because we are still a circus and run badly. The manager is overseen by his mate, budgets aren't set at appropriate times, managers come from a third rate agency and results don't seem to matter too much. Even magically forgetting points 1 to 3 it's still a farce and no way to run a club.

Not sure why this isn't obvious to most Rovers fans but that clearly isn't the outlook. No idea why not either.

It’s like we now have the owners we have because of the mistakes, arrogance and general uselessness of the previous owners, and we need to pull together to make the best of it.

Except the current owners are still the previous owners! As a result there is no cathartic rebuilding, no Phoenix from the flames, no new dawn, no fresh start.

At a club level, and ignoring the turnover of players, it’s like a predator guarding the carcass of it’s erstwhile prey.

Fans I speak to who play the “Venkys are keeping us afloat” card are not only stating the bleeding obvious and ignoring all of the reasons why in their pious faux-gratitude but are clinging to the “badly advised” rhetoric to pretend (as much to themselves as anyone else) that we are under some kind of new regime who pay the bills (aka add to the debt) and not the one that got us here.

Been listening to a few danish football podcasts lately and on 2 occasions the name Steve Kean appeared.

First Niclas Jensen who played for Fulham from 2005-2007 when Steve Kean was there as well. He told a story about Fulham being on a midseason getaway where Jimmy Bullard was about to get in a fight with on of the other players. Steve Kean intervened and Jimmy Bullard (Legend) threw Steve Kean in the pool.

The other story was our own Lars Jacobsen who told a story about Rovers being on a midseason trip to Gleneagles and Steve Kean and Neil McDonald being thrown out of the hotel for rubbing olive tapenade on each others head in the hotel reception.

All in all a lot of stories about the midseason getaways to Dubai etc. where they didn't play much football.

I was hoping he was found dead in Luton with a cactus up his arse and a copy of Mein Kampf in his hand. That would destroy any sympathy idiots like Moyes would still have for him.

How crucial is the Luton part? 😄
