Ossydave Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Totally Wicked would be the obvious choice, it'll be a mad scramble now to get a deal done so they're likely to look to someone they've already got contacts with. 1 Quote

JHRover Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 We must have had a warning period. Most clubs have released kits and started selling them. They wouldn't do that if their sponsors could just pull the plug a month before the season leaving the club in disarray having sold merchandise with the old sponsor on. It is a dreadful deal for Rovers if they are able to pull the plug just a month before a new season. They must have handed their notice in much earlier to give us time to go elsewhere. Quote
alex l Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Rich Sharpe has confirmed the 3 year deal had a break clause at this point, so again, hopefully the club have been working on a replacement for a number of weeks of not months Quote

Would EuroGarages not be a choice too? Blackburn born and based company, millionaires etc... Quote

Poor form again from a local newspaper. Quote

LT reported it around half an hour and with no quotes from anybody at Rovers just regurgitated things from when the deal was signed. Quote

Worth asking I suppose, no idea if they'd have any interest in sponsorship deals mind. Aren't they of Indian descent too? Trust is key for Indians in business, would they want to be associated with the Venkys? Quote
JHRover Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 It is quite incomprehensible that a place the size of Blackburn has a multi billion pound company based here and yet it doesnt have any form of relationship with the club. Either the club has failed to get them to the table or for whatever reason they don't want to be associated with us. 1 Quote

But a few advertising boards or a shirt sponsorship would promote their organisation in their home town and benefit the club. If we can't get sponsorship off them then who can we? Quote

TheRovers1994 Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 So as usual rivers are unorganised and late on dates, the club chooses its kits two years in advance so they should have been ready for July let alone now, so we have our first friendly in 6 days time and it looks like we will be in last seasons kit, 10 bet have now pulled the plug on sponsoring us so we are now without a sponsor which I dont blame anybody for cause aoosrentky a lot of sponsors are struggling to pay their fees no thanks to covid. But back to the subject why is it every bloody season we cant get our kit out at a good time ? Surely releasing it asap would provide much needed revenue? Not even staff know the release date it's pathetic and unproffesional, Last year says it all for me the club stupidly picked a grey and green shirt to start with then was gonna leave it at that until the fans had to Express on social media that it clashes with every team in white so they rushed to umbro and said we need a 3rd asap so we ended up with a limited edition shirt, so that summed up how organised this club is that not one of them after all that time of knowing the away colours realised that we needed a 3rd as grey clashes with white, cause there was definitely no plans of a 3rd until fans raised concerns cause both umbro and rovers confirmed on twitter there wasn't gonna be one. One year left on our umbro contract and I hope we do away with them and other mainstream overrated manufacturers and go with someone like hummel or macron who design better kits anyway rather than throw us a catalogue and say pick one mentality 1 Quote

If will devalue the sponsorship position if we've already sold the majority of replica shirts without the company's logo. the revenue from shirts, even with increased sales if there is no sponsor, would like likely not be near the amount a sponsor pays. 1 Quote

One year left on our umbro contract and I hope we do away with them and other mainstream overrated manufacturers and go with someone like hummel or macron who design better kits anyway rather than throw us a catalogue and say pick one mentality Yep, tend to agree. These issues have a habit of repeating themselves every year and we have to look internally for the answers. As pointed out this isn't a manufacturer issue because numerous other clubs using Umbro have at least unveiled their new kit and have dates to sell it. I don't believe the 10 Bet development is something that has suddenly been sprung upon us 4 weeks before the new season. They will have had to make their decision earlier to give the club time to find an alternative sponsor. Not easy admittedly but we are now facing kicking off the season without a sponsor whilst the 23 other clubs all have them. Coincidence? Not in my view. It is symptomatic of the neglect and shambolic operation of the club. Whether it be kits, sponsors, tickets, budgets or signings we always end up at the back of the queue and late. People think I enjoy moaning about it. I don't. But I will continue to criticise until we start operating like a club of our size should operate. Makes me laugh on twitter when folk are saying 'why does it matter' when the kit comes out. It matters because we are competing in an ultra competitive division. We need income and revenue and are not doing all we can to deliver it. 4 Quote
Backroom Mike E Posted August 16, 2020 Backroom Posted August 16, 2020 3 years in charge and we can pick the same defence: Williams Mulgrew Lenihan Nyambe That being said, Kean could pick a midfield that individually played here under Souness: Pedersen Dunn Reid Emerton. Quote

Rogerb Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 So if no sponsorship deal is forthcoming what about having a local charities name across the shirt. Quote
chaddyrovers Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 I wouldn't be surprise if the owner of company The Envelope Works sponsors the shirts the coming season. They already have sponsorship with the club and the owner of the company is massive Blackburn Rovers fan Quote
