RTM08 Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 Tbh the one thing I really don't like at first look is the half blue half white on one sleeve and full white sleeve on the other... why wouldn't you just reverse it? I'll reserve full judgement until I see it on people later but yet again a resounding "meh" on the home shirt for me. 1 Quote

JWUpper Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 Looks slightly better on these photos, but agree it’s got good elements that don’t quite hit the mark when they’re out together. Also on the first image from earlier, has nobody else questioned why the hanger isn’t attached to anything and it’s just photoshopped on to a background? ? Quote
lsp82 Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 Same design as when we had crown paints as sponsor. Just lazy thinking Quote

If you’re going to have red on the sleeve cuffs, it then makes sense to have a red collar. Without it, it seems unbalanced. I think once folk see the players wearing it though, it will grow. 1 Quote

It’ll need a good wash after those pics... 4 Quote

Backroom Tom Posted August 29, 2020 Backroom Posted August 29, 2020 Did they try to make Ewood look as grubby as possible 5 Quote

A Northern Horde... Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 Some really barmy thinking going on down Ewood. Quote

The club will want £50 for it and then offer some ST-related discount to get it for £35. (Although that could easily be £60 and £45 such is modern football). Football fans are the only people who’d pay silk purse prices for sack cloth products. We really are treated like chumps. 1 Quote

Malaga and Granada are the two local teams. Really nice shirts but quite a bit more expensive than our shirts Quote
matt83 Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Blackburn_Rovers/Blackburn_Rovers.htm Not a classic. Looking at the archives could be one of the worst ones to date in my opinion. Personally I dislike the lighter blue ones so the blue is right but with the odd collar, tacky looking trim on sleeves I’d be sending it back to the drawing board. 1 Quote
The Mighty Chaffinch Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 Like the collar, like the shade of blue, quite like the sponsor (Peel off the EC and it says Roverite!) but why the red trim on the arms? Minus the trim it’s very much the Crown Paints kit of the (nervous cough) Venky’s takeover season. Quote

Just kidding football fans are ripped off the world over I’m sure. Basically paying the manufacturer and the club. Quote
Tugay-is-God Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 Reckon it could look much better actually on a player. There's a reason shirts aren't normally revealed just hanging on a hanger. 1 Quote

That's the bit I don't like about it either as it makes one sleeve look wider than the other. I'm assuming they went with a black sponsor to match up to the Umbro logo which was made black as they expected 10Bet to still be sponsoring us. Hopefully we'll have Hummel next year as they seem to be the best manufacturer design wise. As long as it's not Adidas, Nike or Puma I'll be happy. Edited August 29, 2020 by Gumbi Quote
savage90 Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 Best shirt we've had in years. The white collar is classier than the red imo. Also not sure why anyone would want the sponsor to be in red and stand out even more, looks cheap. Great shirt, discreet enough sponsor. Leave it alone ? 1 Quote

Popular Post Exiled in Toronto Posted August 29, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 29, 2020 I’m surprised no-one mentioned the best thing about it: the sponsor is a company that makes things to improve lives, not ruin them. Proper blue trumps trim details to me. 10 Quote
