If we could get last night out of him every game then he would be a top player for the club. The potential is definitely there but rovers have never managed to get some consistency in his game. Be a shame to see him leave at the end of the season, especially knowing we won't replace him with anything any better. He’s not good enough for a top 6 chasing team. As our plan is seemingly to get relegated, then yes he probably will be a loss. If we ever become a more ambitious club once again, we need much better. Ewood traditionally loves a committed, whole hearted trier even if he isn't the crown jewels and I can go back farther than Ally McCleod! Dolan is better than many fans believe he is. Absolutely spot on. Allowing players like Dolan to walk out of the club is just another example of consistent mismanagement by these appalling owners. 5 Quote

No ofc he won’t be replaced by someone better. There are plenty of other things to worry about beyond the mismanagement of his contract. He’s a decent mid table championship player - he’s not a difference maker for getting you out the league - we’ll see where he ends up At the end of the day I’m not going to get particularly upset about Dolan leaving - a player who probably doesn’t crack the top 300 who I’ve seen at Ewood… 1 Quote

Looks like we've been watching the same player. Letting him walk away would be a big mistake. 4 Quote
Tomphil2 Posted Wednesday at 15:37 Posted Wednesday at 15:37 Only time he'll get any appreciation on here is when he is long gone. Being fair to the constant critics replacing him with a budget wouldn't be that hard - calibre of recruitment staff notwithstanding - but replacing him for the cost of a tea bag with a cheap import, academy graduate, piss weak loanee most certainly will not. 3 Quote
