Yes most likely offered by an agent,he had money burning a hole in his pocket and wanted to spend it. I don't believe the theory he was forced to sign Brereton by the owners. The money should have been spent much better 3 Quote

Rogerb Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Mrs B comment on seeing Elliott Bennett coming on as a sub whose that chubby one or his shirt is a size too small! Quote

Its not as if we were having to fight off competition. I don't think Mowbray's got the hang of it----we bid low when others are interested and high when nobody else is bidding! 3 Quote

However, he hasn't had a "proper chance" (presuming that means a run of games) because in the 40 odd appearances for the first team he has made he hasn't looked very good. He will get more chances now as we have allowed 2 strikers to leave and brought none in. Financially, we couldn't afford to blow £7 million on a dud. That mistake has already been made. Jeopardising results by not accepting this would be a second mistake. I thought he was our least effective outfield player yesterday. Even the Leicester guys commented on how he did nothing to prevent a dangerous cross coming in from the guy he was supposed to be marking. Quote

Tony 'I'm not a great negotiator' Mowbray hits them early doors with our max bid. Then quits when there's nowhere left to go. Quote

Probably still quicker than Bell (ran 100m in 11.3 seconds earlier this year) so have accleration and pace. My fitness is great play tennis 12 hours a week and go gym 4 days a week. I am a great dribbler and great passer of the ball and specialise in a through ball. Weaknesses not great at tackling, heading or crossing with my left foot. So I basically Bell at defending, Rothwell when attacking and have the versatility of JRC ? That’s nice, but can you kick a ball in a straight line though? 1 Quote

I was a better player on the right and am a good crosser with the right. On the left I would rarely cross and cut inside as you say I would fit right in! 5 years ago playing for a vets side on the right wing I scored 37 goals in 26 games... Quote
