I didn't rate Eriksson either, he was another charlatan in my opinion. Capello's heart didn't seem to be in the job.

Capello has to deal with FA interference which meant he couldn't do it his way. Capello was a great manager who decided he could do without it and walked away. Southgate is just a yes man for the FA and he knows that this is the biggest job that he will ever get.

Capello was stealing a living as England manager and should have gone after his pathetic effort there. 

Capello good club manager but pathetic international manager and he got found out for poor tactics, selection and motivate skills

Can’t really comment , only seen him play once for atletico and he played ok but that seems like years ago , must of been a champions league game pre original lockdown. Not seen the rest of the line up so can only assume it’s because he’s an experienced old head amongst debutants and less experienced players

Woth some of the best forward players in the world and playing some pretty good stuff with a 4-3-3 over the last 12 months cant get my head around why Southgate seens to have gone back to this crap 3-5-2 formation.

With 3 centre backs and 2 holding midfielders, it certainly doesnt lend itself to dynamism, it doesnt suit the current set of players.

England 3-0 in front and cruising, but I still agree. Three at the back just seems senseless to me? The 433 we were playing back end of 2018 was great. Why haven't we not just stuck with that?

On the plus side Calvert-Lewin looks a beast and Grealish looking very dangerous. Another exciting set of forward player to add to the reams we already have.

Haven't conceded in 6 games too, so we are doing pretty well. Belgium will tell us a lot more.

ancelotti has done wonders with calvert lewin,he looked a slow,cumbersome oaf last season,now he looks mobile and a handful to anyone
