Not good. But no American played well. England's reserves looked very good.

That could be good for us if we are still interested in signing him

Ya, ye look like ye could be a real force at upcoming tournaments. A huge amount of good young players coming through.  Fair play.

We surely dont need any more central midfielders anyway.

Now now , this is a family site :)

Is it? I remember reading about nylons wrapped in cling film somewhere on here last night.

None event. USA were atrocious so made it feel like an exhibition match, which it was, really.

Would have been nice to see Rooney bag one though.

Should be a very good game vs. Croatia. They’re a top side and the winner makes it to the final four of this Nations League thingy - the loser is relegated! ???

(I think)

It's fair to say that the 'important' England game that evening was played in Croatia.

I actually think England are playing better now than at the world cup. The 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 looks much more balanced than the 3 at the back we played in the world cup. It will be interesting to see if southgate sticks with it or goes back to his WC formation for an important game.

Some decent young players coming through at the moment which has showed in the u17 u18 and u21s winning tournaments. Hope they all get given opportunities at club level .

With riess nelsen showing his quality too..we have some really good options out wide and full back.  The only weak area is centre midfield but hopefully with maddison and foden coming through and barkley showing his best form as well as loftus cheek we can rectify that

Wow. It almost feels like a proper tournament game today.  Something to banish the lingering memory of that God-Damned awful testimonial game earlier in the week.

Win and England go to the semi-finals next year. Lose or score draw and we get relegated to the 2nd tier.

Oh for a Shearer, we'd be 3-up.

I must admit that watching Kane, there are a lot of times when you can see why Leyton Orient didn't want him. He's clearly out of form and may even have his World Cup semi-final game losing miss on his mind.

Bring back Rooney! LOL!

England bossed the first half brilliantly but have reverted to type in the second.

There's has certainly been that air of inevitability about it the 2nd half.  Being 'found out at this level' (regarding missing chances) and seeing Ali on etc.

Why is sterling always picked..why is rashford off and sterling still on..why is southgate a dumb f/_^$/

If I had to guess, it’s because he’s one of the best players in the premier league.

See. This isn't a friendly.

Proper game. I've been sold, this tournament is a good idea.

This would have petered out to a 1-1 take the draw otherwise.
