Roverinbelfast Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 BB showing alot more interest in the second half. I'm convinced there is a player in there. He just looks like he needs a good shake or something ffs 3 Quote

mustard Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 BB gets one sniff and a shot away and he starts to come alive. He’s had nothing supplied to him today tbf 1 Quote
1864roverite Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Playing possession football is good but you need to score when clearly on top! On a positive note nufc squad valued over £45m and we are outplaying them so something good is happening on the playing front 1 Quote
Tugay-is-God Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Haven't seen us this dominant for such a sustained period in ages. Surely means we're set to concede and go 2 down. 3 Quote
bluebruce Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Awful decision from the ref to give handball against Dolan there a minute ago. It was smashed against his upper arm/shoulder from a few yards away whilst momentum was carrying him forward. He would have had to have no arm to not 'handball' that. Quote
SBlue Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 I’m loving Ben Brereton this game lads, can’t lie. 3 Quote

Is too deep in the wonky defensive line and rather than go with the runner steps up for offside. It's down to the 2 full backs to get that line right as they can see right across - poor from Nyambe that. 3 Quote
Tugay-is-God Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Wanna see something from Arma now. Quote
pick32 Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 They can just put Saint-Maximin on against Bell and finish this match whenever they want Quote
Backroom Tom Posted September 15, 2020 Backroom Posted September 15, 2020 Dolan off, I’m off to get my pitchfork out Quote

We might say Mowbray’s possession football doesn’t work; but, maybe that’s what has kept us so close today. Maybe Arma will be the difference maker Quote
bluebruce Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 (edited) If you watch Newcastle's defensive shape when we are tippy tappying around the edge of the area, they barely need to change it. We don't make enough runs to pull their shape apart. Players move a bit, but only to receive a pass and keep it recycling around the edge. Too easy to defend against. (So far of course, could always change especially with subs) Edited September 15, 2020 by bluebruce 1 Quote
SBlue Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Holtby really hasn’t got 90mins in him at the pace we’ve been playing. Looked shot at. 1 Quote
Preben Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 It's more of a case that Newcastle allow us to dominate them rather than us imposing on them. 1 Quote

Doogs Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 We just cant get results, which comes down to the fact we cant defend, keep clean sheets.. Quote

Fraserkirky Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Our movement off the ball on Sat was dreadful Quote
Tugay-is-God Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Surely Arma will get one chance in the next 15, hopefully he'll make it pay. Quote
