He isn’t going to hit his potential playing the occasional through ball or a backwards pass. He needs to be braver with the ball. He's not an athlete. It's why I'm nowhere near as excited about him as others seem to be. You have to be a spectacular footballer to make it if you can't run. Quote

Butty Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 Johnson miles off it today so far. We are missing Holtby and Rothwell in there. Quote
Displaced Rover Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 Idiotic defending. We look so poor. I thought that given lads out there know there are players to come in, they'd be desperate to impress. Quote
TheKitGuy Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 We need to go a bit more direct here, half the team look like they're playing with headaches.. misplaced passes galore. Quote
Ricky Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 Absolutely turgid stuff so far. Both teams have been shocking Quote
SBlue Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 Push Buckley a bit further up and find him with the ball. Push Evans out the door. Quote
Gogger Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 Buckley plays far to deep. No space for Johnson ans Evans and nobody to link up with Armstrong. Quote
Fraserkirky Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 How can folk have a go at Buckley after the 40mins Evans and Johnson have just put in? Ayala our best player, don’t think that will be the last time I say that this season. 3 Quote

Miker Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 Selfish by Brereton there. Could have laid it off to Bell who was in acres of space on the left. Quote

superniko Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 It’s been drab so far to say the least. Dolan the worst player on the pitch in my opinion, closely pushed by Bell. The midfield 3 are too slow with the ball as others have said, nobody is driving forward with it. The 2 x CBs and GK look good, probably the only positives to take. 1 Quote
HowieFive0 Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 (edited) Buckley a bit of a luxury player at the moment ..certainly with Evans and Johnson beside him ..more of an impact player brought on to kill teams when we re actually in front and the opposition are chasing the game. Edited October 17, 2020 by HowieFive0 spelling !! Quote
matt83 Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 Slightly random but Chris Hughton reminds me of Gus Fring off breaking bad. 8 Quote

This midfield 3 is too static for this formation. Almost back to the days of Smallwood and Evans clogging things up in the midfield. 3 Quote
Exiled_Rover Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 Lenihan hasn't learned - risked getting sent off there. Quote
