Clever play to draw a foul in dangerous areas if you ask me. Whilst they might have been looked for, none of them have been dives. Holtby was brought down from behind by a defender who was the wrong side of him. Brereton just backs into the defender and then throws himself to the ground. Swanson Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 It certainly doesn't take much, but Trybull looks an big upgrade on Evans. 1 Quote
Paul Mani Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 We got it tactically right tonight. Dominated a top team from start to finish. The manager can’t make Armstrong miss three top chances and a penalty. He can’t make Lenihan be less cumbersome for their third or take the blame for Lenihans header in the first half which should’ve been finished. Onwards and upwards 4 Quote

His body language annoys me at the moment, he just doesn't seem too assed He had a spell a couple of seasons ago where he couldn’t buy a goal and Mowbray stuck by him. Was Tony ever a milkman? Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 who`s the scapegoat for saturday then??,tony has a long list to study imo Quote
joey_big_nose Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 Pretty impressed by what I've seen and I'm excited about the season. That isn't sarcasm! 5 Quote

A comfortable win for Watford and they never had to get out of 2nd gear. 1 Quote
Stuart Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 They are now trying to say we are missing Williams and Bennett! 3 Quote
Feed the Yak Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 Ridiculous game. We could have scored a hatful, but we didn't and we are way too easily exposed at the back. Evans can do one and Bell is not a championship left back. So frustrating, for me we've played well generally but some of our defending has been shocking. One chance is all you need against this side at the moment. I do feel if we scored first the game could have been different but we're incredibly fragile. Quote
superniko Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 Is Rothwell clear for Saturday? If so I’d like to see him and Trybull alongside Holtby. Quote

We haven’t had 67% away from home many times in my life. The players have worked hard here and we have played well...but we’ve lost this game purely down to individual player errors. 18 shots and only one goal....we’ve missed a bucketful tonight. Quote
Cherry Blue Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 Damn shame when we play reasonably well, Big Ben scores a world class goal & 17 year old Elliott stars in his first game that the defending frailties are still with us. Lots to learn from tonight. Kaminski needs to look at his game - comes out his area a long way. We need a new penalty taker. We lost yet we could have easily won this one. Quote
Tugay-is-God Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 As weird as it sounds, that was a playoff level performance for me. Their lad gets sent off in the first half, Arma hits the penalty the other way, either of those happen and it's a completely different game. 3 Quote

Trinidad Rover Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 Positives: - Elliott is absolute class. - Holtby - Brereton Negatives: - The rest - Ayala is made of glass and doesn’t look arsed. Only came here after his other move fell through - Paying for that Commentary Quote
mustard Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 Don't know if anyone else caught that at the end, but Lenihan clearly said to Kaminski (I think), "that's my fault today" or something very similar. Quote

It’s hard to envision playoffs with performances like this. I think we've battered them. The immobile midfield and Ben Foster having a blinder has been the difference. If we play like that week in, week out, we'll be there or there abouts come the end of the season. Baffling result. 3 Quote

neophox Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 So woeful tonight against a Poor watford side there for taking. We seem to go on a good run and then just collapse. Something is wrong. We really need to put things right and its all right to say armstrong was poor. He need to step up. Quote
den Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 So frustrating. Played excellent football for most of the game, but bottom line is Watford didn’t have to do anything to score three goals. You have to be a super team to overcome that. 1 Quote
