Harvey Elliott is in the Liverpool starting 11 today Vs Burnley. Hopefully he can get himself a goal 🤞

Or three, four even. He should excel against some of the lumbering giants masquerading as footballers for that lot.

Looks as if Klopp sees him as a midfielder, rather than a forward. I tend to agree. His brightest moments for us were often from deep, playing through balls.

I have a feeling he'll have a break out season for Liverpool and get ahead of Curtis Jones in the team.

It will look rather embarrassing for us that we had two Premiership standard creators/scorers, in Armstrong and Elliot, should they both do well, and we still finished 15th in the Championship, last year.

Elliot's gonna be a fine player, he has the speed, the vision, the skill at 18 that make him stand out. Shame we didn't get him this year as he'd be a loan that would really improve the team, most of those in previous seasons have not.

What a tragedy for the young lad who was really looking the part for Liverpool. Hopefully it's a clean break with no complications (assuming it is broken) and he can be back fully fit for next season.

Foot was definitely flopping around but hopefully it’s clean and a swift recovery

Fingers crossed but I don't think its as bad as it looked. Hope it's a speedy recovery, great talent

He was returning applause to Leeds fans as he was carried off. Fingers crossed he's ok.

Didn't see the tackle but the pundits are making it clear it was a horrendous tackle and really bad injury

Who said that? It was debatable if it was even a foul but it certainly wasn't a red card. The ref didn't even give a foul initially.

Dislocated ankle so maybe one of those that looked much worse than the reality

More an unlucky one than a terrible tackle, had his leg not got caught that way there would have been no card and no foul

Thought he got the ball tbf, both feet weren't off the ground. Thought a red was harsh and based on the outcome rather than the tackle

The refs reacted with emotion rather than using their heads. (Seems VAR didn't get involved, 4th official on side called it.)

Just like the ref admitted he did with Gomez I believe afterwards. Said he saw how bad the injury was and sent Son off unfairly.

Awful injury for poor Harvey just when he was breaking in the 1st team. Good luck to him on the recovery.

But I'd struggle to make a case for that being a yellow, never mind a red.

Dislocated ankle that got put back quite quickly. If he's managed to avoid doing damage to his ligaments he's hopefully come out of it much better than expected
