superniko Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 Glad Armstrong slotted the penalty, missing 2 in 2 might have had a dent in his confidence a bit. Hopefully we kill it off quickly in the 2nd half. 1 Quote

Exiled_Rover Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 This ref has given us nothing since the red card. Is he feeling guilty? Quote
dallydally Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 Should be 4 or 5 up. Not clinical enough 4 Quote

Butty Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 I honestly think when Ayala is fit I’d play him and Williams at the back, Ayala has looked solid and Williams is more suited to that left centre back spot, Derrick hasn’t put a foot wrong this season. On this game we’ve got to kill it off in the second half because they’ll get one chance and knowing our luck they will score it. I love the way Trybull sits deep and spreads the ball, not seen him misplace a pass yet and Holtby is an absolute class above. 6 Quote

Gone to seed Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 Slightly worrying that we have had so many chances and failed to convert - just imagine what a proper centre forward could have done with those crosses... 1 Quote
G Somerset Rover Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 Got to get a second. We all know what happens otherwise. Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 even by our erratic standards this game looks as good as over, just the tony team talk to overcome 1 Quote

rovers11 Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 Breo, JRC, Holtby were all outstanding. Need a second goal though and then it’s game over. 3 Quote
Guest Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 Douglas has put four Premier League quality crosses into the box and nobody’s converting. I’d consider sending Ben Brereton central so we’ve got some impact in the air in the box. Quote
joey_big_nose Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 Reckon Dolan and Gallagher on for Johnson and Armstrong around 60 mins. Drop Elliot into midfield. Kaminski JRC. Lenihan. Williams. Douglas. Holtby. Trybull. Elliott Dolan. Gallagher. Brereton. 1 Quote
Exiled in Toronto Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 Hard to complain about anything other than finishing: Holtby could’ve had four and Armstrong is beginning to look like during his loan spell. I also thought it was a worse penalty than Weds, if the goalie had gone the other way he couldn’t have missed it. Quote

Well what an odd half. Lenihan had a nightmare for twenty minutes. Apart from the penalty Armstrong having a poor game. Holtby missed four excellent chances. ref given us nothing since the penalty and bonus red card. Otherwise really encouraged by the play and Brereton is close to unplayable. Over to Mowbray to avoid a second half horror show and turn it into a rout. 2 Quote
BlackburnEnd75 Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 (edited) Trybull will be a really important player for us. He clearly understands the position well, he should give us better cover on the counter. Douglas looked a bit rusty early on but has still managed to put in more good crosses in 45 mins then I've seen from bell in the last 2 years Edited October 24, 2020 by BlackburnEnd75 Spelling 2 Quote

RevidgeBlue Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 Incredibly sloppy and wasteful half in front of goal, hope we don't come to regret it. Elliot needs to step up a bit, all show and no end product on that evidence. Brereton and Holtby the stand out performers again, but you don't really want Holtby on the end of headed chances. Still not impressed with Armstrong. I'd take 1-0 and no disasters now. Quote

Think Lenihan's been going backwards for a while. To me, something's not right with Armstrong - form, body language telling. Edited October 24, 2020 by Mercer 1 Quote
dallydally Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 Only Reading with a better goal difference than us Quote

It's the nature of the loan system, unfortunately. Quote
