You need the right mindset. Howard Kendall had it, Mark Hughes had it, Big Sam had it. Do we know what happened to Hughes? He was sensational for us and Wales, then he turned into an awful manager. Dreams of 1995 Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 5 foot 9 Ayew beating Lenihan in the air every time. Fuck off. Quote

Exiled_Rover Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 Clumsy from Evans, that's a penalty (albeit a v soft one). 2 Quote
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 Evans a bloody liability 1 Quote
matt83 Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 The tony Mowbray post match excuses drinking game. Drink when blames Covid, injuries or uses phrases akin to we go again and early days. Won’t be able to stand up at 17:05 2 Quote
SoldierMo Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 Thats 3 chances 2 more then he will score 1 Quote
Mercer Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 (edited) This is awful. Mulling over what to do next. Stick with it and open another bottle of red or go to the local for an early tea as we'll all be living like monks next week. Just stuck a tenner on Swansea to win 4-1 at 70/1. neophox Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 Its all about results even if you play good and lose its nothing worth. We have to take our chances in games. Same old stuff. Quote

Looks like they're stomping, and not at all light on the feet. Someone should look at their running technique Quote
Dreams of 1995 Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 Probably the worst I’ve seen us play to be honest. All season we’ve at least looked lively on the ball. Terrible in all departments. Has to be a big half here. We are on a shocking spell. So disappointing. The let downs are all too common as a Rovers fan these days. Think we’ve been on the same rollercoaster for a few years now. Dolly blue Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 .....and , what’s worse... we’ve Tony’s half time words to come ...He’s delusional , yes there’s Covid but when , oh when , is he going to put out a team that knows how to defend? .....and then, there’s his mate’s lad in goal. 1 Quote
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 Swansea won't be top 6. Ayew apart they look bang average. That said, they've got enough to beat us. We simply aren't clinical at both ends of the pitch. It will be another season where we put a run together at some stage, get a sniff of the playoffs then fall away. Quote

I don't he can be called an awful manager in the same breath as linking him back here, given the truly awful ones we've mostly had. Fact is he was just the right fit at the right time. Like Souness was before him before his shelf life expired. Mowbray has been similar but more in an off pitch way than on it. We are now where we were again when we got Souness in and Hughes and Sam. Change desperately needed to drive it forward rather than just fight fires. I'd give Hughes another go tomorrow. 2 Quote
SuperBrfc Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 Lenihan is to blame for so many of the goals that we concede. It's actually unbelievable how many goals his crap defending has cost us. I'm not basing this on the Reading game or today, this has been going on for the last 3 seasons. Is it any wonder we concede so many soft goals with him thought of as our 'best' defender. He is never a centre back for me and it's infuriating to see the same crap every game. 1 Quote
Doogs Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 3 points above the bottom 3 as things stand....But hey ho Tony's taking us up. 1 Quote
yellowsubmarine Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 We need a Swansea sending off in the second half to even things up. Quote
