For all boro being more threatening has pears made a save?

No and I wouldn’t bet on him doing.
He’s absolutely hopeless on crosses.

Still don’t get the Trybull yellow card

I still don’t get Trybull! Yes he’s made some good blocks but it’s open season for the Boro midfielders out there.

I wouldn’t mind betting Tony makes no changes at the break. ‘More of the same, lads’.

Think holtby has been good played some really nice beat passes under pressure, Elliott would be my first sub not seen him get involved at al, run into space a lot but spaces were the pass isn’t on. Might be half decent alongside Pirlo

Don't get the Dolan bashing, looks more likely to do something than most.

I'd take Gallagher off, bring Rothwell on and move Elliot into the middle. At least he might be able to control the ball up front.

As a defender, I used to love playing in these Alamo-type games, there’s been some really committed last-ditch blocks. Midfield helping neither defence nor forwards, and if that’s Gallagher playing in his best position I’d hate to see him in his worst - he’s just awful in all of them, Ben looks 10x better than him.

iv`e no idea what formation we are playing and neither do the players, the only way out of this one is to mass the midfield and defence and hope for a set piece to try and pinch a goal, all this possesion **** is bollocks, the players ar`nt good enough to keep it

Done very well to get to half time 0-0

Still in it so hopefully keep grinding away and Colin decides he'll settle for a point and doesn't pull off a tactical masterstroke.

It'll be a good point earned tonight if we get there !

If we're going to keep a deep defensive line we need a major rethink at half time. How do we create chances? We look absolutely clueless.

Either we sit deep and just ping it long to Gallagher and get someone up beside him (Elliot?). Or we stick with the 433 and have the balls to push the defensive line up 20 yards.

At the moment we are just parking the bus desperately defending as we have a system to play one way, but we are petrified to expose Pears and our defence.

I'm not watching it, I just imagine that's what's happening ?

Lol before the game I'd have agreed that was how it was likely to go.

Tbf they havent scored yet somehow, so still might only be a 1 nil.

Probably the first game we have been categorically outclassed though (no, I wasnt as impressed with Reading as many seemed to be. They defended well and took their chances, that was all, they just knew how to work us...this lot look in genuine control).

Gallagher had a great opportunity to slip Brereton (?) through who would have been clean through. Tried to pass it around the defender with the outside of his boot instead of playing it straight through the middle.
