So we just try to tread water til they’re all back? We had £12 million pounds worth of strikers playing tonight who Mowbray signed!!! Countless others who he’s brought in on his watch too.

Fuck me mate, none of us fancied Rovers tonight with the injuries and form we’ve been in.  The opposition just had 20 shots at our goal and I made a point that IT WAS A FANTASTIC RESULT IN CONTEXT. It was.

Sorry but it’s not often I disagree with you but tonight the reason we didn’t ship 3 or 4 was because of their woeful finishing.  Balls were coming through without challenge, how the lad missed that header towards the end was unbelievable.  Pears couldn’t command his 6 yard area without anyone there.  It was pathetic.

Do you mean the header where Wharton was challenging him so he didn't get a clear header ?

We were battered for at least 85 minutes, no two ways about it. Constantly lost the ball in midfield, we could neither get the ball on the deck and play around them nor launch it long and have Gallagher or Brereton hold it up. Luckily Boro were no great shakes in front of goal, and the back four along with Pears all had good games defensively with the caveat that they never looked like a solid unit, lots of panicked individual defending.

We obviously need to play a three man midfield with at least one proper anchor, the two men we had today were eaten alive. Elliott showed glimpses of class, while Gallagher showed that he lacks true killer instinct. A goalscoring forward would have launched himself at the ball that passed Brereton earlier, now he reacted only when the first player missed it and lost the opportunity.

If Kaminski isn't fit then I'll be happy with Pears if he plays as well as tonight.

At last we have a decent reserve keeper.

Old joke but Pears is like Dracula..... he doesn't like crosses.

Seriously, Pears inspires no confidence whatsever.

Really.

You can't have a goal keeper that doesn't command on corners/crosses.

He literally let 3 flash across the 6 yard box because he stood and did nothing when the ball came in. A Boro player at the back post each time. We got lucky, another team would have punished us, Boro should have done.

Warnock will be going ape right about now because they didn't put one of them away

The best part of the night was wiping the smile off that smug bastard's face.

All BS, easiest thing in the world to cry off with “symptoms” when the manager is taking the team backwards, but in any case that’s 4.

Hells bells, some folk need to get a grip. The defence have put their bodies on the line tonight and ground out a point against a full strength ‘Boro on a 7 match unbeaten run. Blaming TM for our injuries and illness is pathetic.

Don't get the Dolan bashing, looks more likely to do something than most.

I'd take Gallagher off, bring Rothwell on and move Elliot into the middle. At least he might be able to control the ball up front.

Like a little boy rocking up in the park and the men ask him if he wants to join in . Enthusiastic ( which is more than many out there) but brushed off and out muscled far too easily to have any more than a fleeting impact every so often .
it’s not bashing the kid , it’s stating the bare facts .

Another poor performance. Surely Mowbray can't last much longer 10 games in at it is clear we are going nowhere under him. Infact watching that tonight we are more likely to be bottom 6 than top 6.

Nyambe and Lenihan were excellent, Williams was good as well by my god aren't our centre backs injury prone. JRC the weak link in the defence again, as for Pears he made a couple decent saves but they looked like scoring from every corner that they got in. Thought Wharton did decent when he came on, he looks like the sort that actually enjoys defending.

The midfield and attackers were poor, there seemed to be no shape whatsoever. I thought that Dolan was about the brightest of the attackers so of course he was taken off at half time. Brereton was terrible, it really is staggering that a 2nd division footballer can have such a terrible touch. Gallagher equally bad, as a striker he has to be anticipating that JRC cross. I thought that Holtby was our poorest performer bar his abysmal set pieces he was non existent.

Exactly..

No Armstrong, Ayala, Kaminski and Douglas plus Dack and we a team who should be challenging for the top 6.

With a manager like Warnock we would be top two.

When will the penny drop with the likes of you and @PaulMani - Mowbray, IMO, is taking us on a journey to nowhere.

Tonight we got lucky, very lucky - it was robbery.

IMO, we resembled a disorganised Sunday league pub team having no plan, shape or structure - that is down to the manager and coaches.

For M'boro, these nights happen in football when you just can't buy a goal for love nor money.

I will match any bet you and Paul want to make and say now M'boro will finish higher than Rovers.

Stuart I’m not having this ridiculous argument with you. We’ve had 4 isolating until this game. Kaminski, Ayala and now Williams popped their groin IN GAME. Literally fuck all to do with Mowbray. No one’s fault. Dack and Trav out with knee ligament injuries...it’s just tough shit.

But the fact is that there’s 7 players missing from our starting 11. It’s no ones fault.

Agreed, made some good saves but looks like a boy among men. No charisma, doesn't inspire confidence.

Thing that was well and truly highlighted is that you cannot play Brereton and Gally up front together especially without a supply line. In 90 mins we had 1 just 1 decent cross and neither could put a foot on it.

If they are on the pitch together it has to be 4-4-2 with a supply line, it’s the only way forward.

Other than that how we stole a point is unexplainable ?

What we need is Kaminsky back and a proper back up keeper brought in then you can get away with your 3rd choice in odd games like that.

Does Mowbray know something we don't? Just said the lockdown can't come quick enough ? then back peddled. Didn't realise how many backroom staff we had isolating either, all these things add up.

We were watching a different team.

Middlesboro only had one route to victory - route one. They SHOULD have scored one of the multiple crosses they had, but they didn't because they're a poor side.
