Boro will win this 2 or 3 nil and Mogga will resign. Just like kean did after a home defeat to boro at ewood.

But then Mogga and Waggs will reinstate him, under a new name, a wig and a slight (but cute) lisp.

It’s ridiculous that we have our 2 star players, first choice goalie, best defender, and best midfielder all injured for this game.

After such a promising start we have been absolutely decimated by injuries. I don’t know how you can get good performances out of a team with that many key players missing.

At this stage I just hope we can stay within touching distance of the playoffs until we have most players return.

playoffs? At this point we have to be happy with staying out of the relegation spots.

I won't be.

I won't be 'happy' either because when healthy we have a great squad that is worthy of being promoted, but it is completely mental how many players we have out.

Is it all that mental though. Yes, I admit it is hugely damaging but mental - as in a shock and wildly unpredictable - I'm not so sure.

We knew Dack would be out this long and have had 2 windows to attempt to replace him.

We knew Ayala had a ton of injury problems when we signed him.

We knew Covid would interfere with all teams' squad selections.

We knew we were very reliant (over reliant?) on Travis in cm as Johnson and Evans aren't dependable. Actually Evans you can depend on to have a bad game.

No shocks in there.

It doesn't help that we continued to play Armstrong after his initial injury.

Had just the £5 million on Gally been spent better - or half of it, say on Bauer and a half decent forward - our injury problems would seem less severe.

Yes, we've had some kickers. Losing Rothwell in particular was an unfortunate blow. But it's not like we haven't contributed to the problems we have.

Off to the local for 'tea' and a bevvy or two whilst we can, back in good time for the match,  and the wife's paying with her winnings from today's winning nag!

She picks her horses by the name that strikes her and today's flutter was Vodka Society which won at 18/1!

I asked her what she thought would happen tonight and the prediction is a 3-1 win to Rovers.  So purely on her 'intuition', I've stuck a tenner on 3-1 at 25/1.

Thought I'd share it with you as the missus is on a bit of a winning streak at the moment - good luck!

It's the hope that kills you in the end..

I voted early, so now I’m ready for the game. Not that I’m expecting much, I just hope to see some signs of life from this beat-up squad, and perhaps believe better days are ahead.

I don’t know, this season is turning into so many in the past.

Being a rovers supporter:

Its anticipation

Then expectation

suddenly realisation

finally desperation

I hope she's a better predictor than you Merc.
