Cherry Blue Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Rothwell wasn't firing on all cylinders v Boro as we mainly played in our own half. Now with a game under his belt and if he is allowed to push further up field he will deliver. Quote
rovers11 Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Much improved line up. No excuses today. Quote

With the style of football we play, we HAVE to make a lot of changes. You can't play a midfield 3 with a pressing style twice a week, every week. Quote
moerpho Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 I don't like singling out players, but whenever I see Evans in the starting eleven I just know it's going to be a dreary boring match. Everything seems to stop to a halt when we're on the counter and he gets the ball. Don't ask me who should replace from todays lineup, but to win this one we really need Rothwell and Johnson to deliver the goods today. On Rothwell...been reading about loads of people struggling with stamina after a covid infection. Just hope he isn't affected in that way, but I am worried. He was so good before he got sick. Really need him to rediscover that form and pick up the mantle now that Holtby is out. Hoping for win - fearing another boring 0-0. 2 Quote
RevidgeBlue Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Positives - Wharton starting Negatives - Corry "Started 4 lost 4" Evans in the starting line up again and no Holtby. I think we know which way this is going to go already. Quote
West Yorks Rover Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Hard for me to feel confident today without Holtby and then there's Evans, oh dear ! QPR don't score many though, so if we can score 2 we might grab 3 points. Reading 0 Stoke 3 That's 3 defeats on the trot for Reading, we must have softened them up at Ewood. 2 Quote
Atko's Engine Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Surprised that Kaminski & Armstrong are in, albeit pleasantly. We'll miss Holtby though, and it's a huge game for Wharton. Hope Lenihan finds his form & guides him through it calmly. I've no idea what to expect from QPR, but there's a certain amount of trepidation in my heart as it looks like they're just gonna sit back and let us try to break them down; our least favourite type of opponent. C'mon Rovers, quick out of the blocks, early goal(s) please Quote
chaddyrovers Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Delighted Kaminski and Armstrong are back in team. Time for Rothwell to shine today Hope Wharton has a good game. COYB ⚪? Quote

slowmo Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Feeling more confident given the line up and hopefully another rovers jackal and hyde performance. With us back to our best, can't be a performance remotely like the last , that was a serious low point ! Quote
bazza Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 I just hope Tony isn't playing anyone with a niggling injury that might get worse and keep him out for months. Quote

Stuart Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Sorry but the only tribute today should have been remembrance of the fallen, “the knee” should have been left out. 8 Quote
Fraserkirky Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 (edited) Evans injured all ready, get him off. Edited November 7, 2020 by Fraserkirky Quote
TheKitGuy Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Evans realised just how terrible those touches were so he's decided to be injured.. good effort from him 1 Quote
Exiled_Rover Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Evans injured before the international break - he must be gutted. Quote
Fraserkirky Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Come on Buckley! Another chance at home. Quote

Mercer Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Said time and time again, we need players who we know we'll get 90% of games from. IMO, we know what's coming with Evans and Ayala. 1 Quote
