Trinidad Rover Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 brilliant result - BB fantastic and shout out to Wharton. Having Kaminski back made a huge difference, b*llocks the defence and distributes v well. Armstrong - lets enjoy him while we have him 5 Quote

Get in, ARMA Exactly, it would be nice to keep ‘em separate. Quote
Bbrovers2288 Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Good result in the end arma needs to tuck those 1 v 1s away first time, won’t get two bites at the cherry often. He isn’t very good at them 1 Quote
Dreams of 1995 Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Super Ben Brereton!!! Johnson won the ball back a handful of times in the last few minutes. Had a good game. Quote

Doug Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Well done Rovers, just shows what a difference getting back a few first choice players makes! 2 Quote
matt83 Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Back into our 8th-14th zone. The world makes sense again. 6 Quote
islander200 Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 What a relief we pulled 7 points clear of the drop zone Quote
bluefred Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Great to be back to normality, so after borós draw at Brentford we did well on Tuesday Quote
West Yorks Rover Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Great result, Arma league's top scorer again, nice to hear Wharton did well, let's hope he can keep it up, love it when our own lads make it. Quote

Kids on fire Won't stop a small handful criticising him, which frankly is starting to piss me off. I get having scapegoats of our worst players all the time, there's always a weak link in a side to be improved. But for a long time now there have consistently been a tiny bunch who slag off whoever our best player is. Rhodes, then Dack, now Armstrong. I know they're not beyond reproach, but some seem to expect them to be perfect. Arma has 11 league goals and we are only a week into November. If he misses the odd chance or does something 'greedy' as someone said earlier, so fucking be it. He has more goals than 9 of the teams in this league have. None of our other players have more than 3 (and that's a central midfielder). He knows he is our best hope of goals so of course he is going to look to score as his first instinct. 14 Quote
USABlue Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Boy we needed that win. Gallagher crap. Big Ben did very well today again I think. If only Gallagher could improve as much as Ben has. Quote
bigbrandjohn Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 I like a bit of alliteration Brereton, Blackburn,Biden,Beer,Brilliant. 9 Quote
joey_big_nose Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Really fantastic performance and good result. Really should have been 2-0 up at half time though.... That said QPR came right back into it and there wasn't much in it. When they went more direct after the subs we struggled as per our other games against direct sides. Not that convinced at the moment we will finish higher than last season, but we will be more entertaining at least. Probs difference between us being mid table and solid top six team is a dominant pacy centreback and left back. I think Ayala and Douglas are going to struggle in our system ultimately as not very quick. BTW really impressed with JRC - had an excellent defensive game. Has always looked dodgy at lb wrote but was very good today. 3 Quote
Butty Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 A much much much much needed 3 points. Wouldn’t say we were amazing today but I couldn’t care less we got the job done, fingers crossed we have a few more players available after this international break and we can put a run of results together because we need too. Rothwell MOTM for me today with Johnson in a close second. 3 Quote

There are very few world events that deserve celebrating on here, but most of us agree, this is absolutely one. Get in, sleepy Joe!!!! Get in, Rovers. Here's to a happy Saturday night, brothers and sisters! Woo... 5 Quote

Get in, ARMA I think it was just a throwaway comment by one poster until you took them to task on it though? You've magnified the discussion of the thing you didn't want discussing. Anyway very happy with that, was worried for spells but I think I'm almost happier with a ground out win than another boom and bust 4-0 at the moment. Got to be able to get these inbetweeny wins too. jny Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Great result. We need to use the impetus to move up the table though, if we're still languishing around mid table come January we won't be viewed as a competitive prospect and we'll lose the likes of Arma Quote

Just waiting to be reminded he is a League One trier.... I'll bite - L1 wide player. Class #9 at this level. Much like how I shouted from the rooftops that Rothwell was our best CM and Brereton just needed a run of starts. Funny that. 1 Quote
