Backroom Tom Posted November 21, 2020 Backroom Posted November 21, 2020 (edited) Plenty on Twitter raging that Brereton didn’t get a penalty, the booking is a joke but not sure how it could be a penalty outside the box Edited November 21, 2020 by Tom 3 Quote

Paul Mani Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 Worst I’ve seen us play. Sure the ref was piss poor and those two decisions at the end genuinely mind blowing. But that performance was pretty abject....said it before, if Mowbray was ever going to lose his job, it’s this season! We need to win three on the bounce soon to get us back in the running. Think we missed Holtby today. 5 Quote

Darrenbot Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 All the talk about the ref is giving Mowbray another excuse after a listless performance once again.Stuck in midtable with a midtable manager. Quote
jim mk2 Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 Yet another soft goal given away by poor defending and the surprise was we actually equalised. Poor performance overall and typical of a mid-table side that's going nowhere. Quote
Doogs Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 Negative Tony gets a point against the world champions... Quote
rovers11 Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 We were poor today so not a bad point in that respect. However, we’ve now played 12 games and are sitting firmly in mid table and 7 points off the play offs. That’s very poor, especially when we have the top scorer in the league. 2 Quote

If it was just no foul given, and he reacted like that, would probably still be yellow but he couldn't be blamed for being angry and in that refs face. Utter joke. Think it was given for a dive and free kick given the other way 1 Quote

Now if that isn't the start of a football conspiracy theory I don't know what is Like most conspiracy theories, it gets the basics wrong. It was Gavin Ward. Quote

Needs dropping for Ayala IMO. 1 Quote
Backroom Tom Posted November 21, 2020 Backroom Posted November 21, 2020 Anyway ref aside there’s plenty of opportunity to win that game and it took them scoring for us to ever look like doing it it seems Quote
Hoochie Bloochie Mama Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 We've scored 22 goals. 16 of those came in the 4 games we've won. The other 6 in the 8 games we haven't won. Feast or Famine. 1 Quote

tonygreenbank Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 Gavin Ward has got previous in this league. He regularly gets criticism from managers! I have to say I can’t believe how he didn’t give us a free kick for the assault on Armstrong. I wasn’t convinced it was a pen with Brereton. However, feeling very frustrated tonight. Quote

Blue blood Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 I appreciate it doesn't help having a crap ref, but let's be honest, we're not very good are we? I mean, ok on paper we look like a good side, but we haven't beaten a single decent team. We've hammered the dross, and that's highly laudable, but to not have beaten a single one of the 7 or 8 decent teams we've played is pretty poor and worrying. We're going nowhere fast. Season will be over by January. 4 Quote

You just knew we are going to lose possession, the moment the ball gets out of his feet. Quote
davefarnworth Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 Mid table mediocrity this season. Nice paycheck for our Tone and Mr Waggott. In these days of covid and job losses, I hope they sleep well at night while we fans suffer their dross 1 Quote

I don't want to diss Gallagher on the day he finally gives us a goal, but it was infuriating how many balls were aimed at his head (not just by Lenihan) when the guy can't jump. Quote
bazza Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 I listened to Radio Lancs, 95.5 fm. Two excellent commentators who thought Rovers played well and were unfortunate not to win. Who were they? The chap with the cockney accent was full of praise for us. Quote

The commentators had just talked about Rovers trying a patient buildup play, then he got the ball and just lumped it nowhere. Then did it again shortly after. I don't understand how or why he keeps doing this. Given he is usually poor at it and our game is about possession now (even if I have my issues with that), surely TM should be reading him the riot act and telling him to literally never lump it up unless it is as part of a counter attack. If then. Annoyingly he keeps doing the same thing in my FM game at the moment in the Prem, and it's the main reason I'm thinking of getting shut. Quote
