yellowsubmarine Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 The Rovers commentators "they cant possibily score 2 in the last 10 mins"... sometimes they should just shut up. 7 Quote
Waggy76 Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 Excellent result following Tuesday night , 2 games on the spin let's make it 3 midweek.... 1 Quote

Bbrovers2288 Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 Well done lads and pleasing to see a few of the much maligned players getting some credit 1 Quote
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 Scrappy win. Not at our best and struggled with their set pieces. But. 3pts. We need to eek some more of these type of wins. 3 Quote
Backroom Popular Post DE. Posted November 28, 2020 Backroom Popular Post Posted November 28, 2020 Credit to Barnsley, came here and gave us a major test. Play like that every week and they won't have to worry about a relegation battle this season. Winning whilst not playing well is a skill we have rarely exhibited during the Venky era, so it's nice to see we have that in our locker. Kaminski immense today - the difference between a win and at the very least a draw, maybe even a loss. With Walton in goal we definitely don't win this one. 14 Quote
Doug Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 Phew, tough game but looked better with Johnson and gally. Bell is truly awful at defending. Anyway, no complaints with the result. Quote
Darwen Rover 007 Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 Finally getting a bit of consistency and mentioned by a few is Mowbray turning the corner on the playing bad an getting a result? Quote
bluebruce Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 Those stats...we had something like 63 percent possession but Barnsley had 23 shots to our 7! Just glad we won though. We can't afford too many first half like that given how bad we are at coming from behind and how often we win when scoring first. Quote

Another day and perform like that we are beaten. We would all have loved to smashed Barnsley to build on the Preston result. As it is we are delighted with the three but with hesitation on a rather poor performance. At least we can enjoy the weekend with the points in the bag though Quote

Think 80 % of our possession was Lenihan and Wharton though Edit: Typo Edited November 28, 2020 by Joar 2 Quote
superniko Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 Gutted Kaminski lost his clean sheet, he was excellent. We grinded it out but we’ll take it every day. I think the Millwall match will suit us a lot more. Would love to go into those tough 3 fixtures on the back of 3 wins and 6 unbeaten. Rovers win and Norwich, Bournemouth, Stoke and Boro all drop points (and Burnley got hammered). Just hopefully Chorley can pull an upset off against Peterborough now for a perfect day all round. Paul Mellelieu Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 Holtby was anonymous and we looked half the team. Well done again to Barnsley. A nice glass of white graves. 1 Quote

Barnsley were great but a big part of the problem was Trybull imo, he makes us sit so deep. 1 Quote

darrenrover Posted November 28, 2020 Author Posted November 28, 2020 A win playing ugly. Just what the doctor ordered. Bring on The Lions and more of the same would do me! Well done Rovers! 1 Quote
Mr. E Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 thank God we held. Pulling out these wins is nothing short of sensational, and no one can tell me otherwise when we are on what, our 3rd choice defensive line up? 4th? And even the starting one isn't top notch. We are bombarding goals upfront and at the same time are being bombarded by injuries, it's a war. Quote

G Somerset Rover Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 Undeserved but we’ll take it as rarely do we win ugly. Let’s hope we come out of the traps much quicker midweek. 2 Quote
