philipl Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 Six midfielders on the bench. That means the midfield trio have two subs each as cover! Dolan the only forward option and Carter the only defender although Downing could fill in at left back. Millwall playing 3-4-3 and are injury hit like we are. Quote

GHR Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 I don't have too much of a problem with Rothwell dropping to the bench, he's been thoroughly decent for the past few games, but with the intensity of the calendar between now and January I suspect it will happen to most of our XI at one point, especially given our difficulties with random injuries. Thank God these days we actually have players of equal or greater ability to come in instead! Quote
joey_big_nose Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 Rothwell is one of the key reasons the 433 works so well... He can pick it up deep and drive forward in a way that really terrifies the oppositon. Not sure Elliot can really do that.... Will be interesting to see how it pans out. Reckon the game could drift him by as it has when he's had stints there... Still much much better having him in there than Trybull or Evans. Quote
Bigdoggsteel Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 Exciting team, with a strong bench. Let's roll! Quote
Hoochie Bloochie Mama Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 Rowett has always counter-attacked so I presume they'll just sit deep and try and frustrate (although I said that about Barnsley!). A lot of the responsibility will be on Holtby and Elliot to create chances. 1 Quote
bazza Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 If Millwall sit deep, expect Rovers to keep possession playing tippy-tappy football with little penetration. Quote
Tormund Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 Early goal so important, you don’t want 0-0 at half time, they will just frustrate more and more. 1 Quote

I suppose that's where Elliot comes in. He can thread a ball between defenders, which isn't really Rothwell's game. 1 Quote
Bigdoggsteel Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 Gallagher first goal, I can feel it 2 Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 we`ve got to be patient, don`t go mental and and all out for it,we`ll get picked off,as in the reading game Quote

bluebruce Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 I can't for the life of me understand why a possession based team boots the ball to absolutely nowhere from kickoffs. Quote
Bbrovers2288 Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 Ffs Ben, that’s a howler , don’t do that in real time 1 Quote

magicalmortensleftpeg Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 Kit clash is horrendous. Their home kit would have been far better. 1 Quote
