Playing mid-week and Saturday is what this division is ala bout. It's what players are expected to be able to play. Why doesn't Mowbray think ours can?

Finding a defence that defends has been Mowbray's achilles heel here (and he's not our first manager to struggle in that regard) and once you've found one, you don't change it, if you can avoid it.

A lot of truth in this so it'll be interesting to see how he manages it.

I'm always of the belief you stick with what is working as long as you can and only change if you have to.  TM seems to operate a rotation policy to try and keep players fresher by putting them in and out sometimes. It might work in fitness terms but i don't think it works well for the team consistency and that can reflect in performances and results.

With apologies to our younger viewers and acknowledgement to Victorian musical hall ditties...

Oh Mr Mowbray what shall we do

We are in need of a decent left back

But we have loaned him back to Crewe

If you need an explanation Im sure Tyrone or some of our senior members will explain...

Josh King moving to everton for between 5-6 million.

That's about 1 million, 1.2 million for us. May explain the money for Pickering.

Really don’t think the money for Pickering came from there. The King deal has happened very last minute.

The sell on fee is a percentage of the profit not the full fee.

Depending on what our settlement we got was the sell on fee won’t be too much

I see the once fabled Marcus Maddison has been allowed to leave Charlton on loan for Bolton.

somethings not right with that bloke.

Probably developed chronic hypothermia in his knees due to the rips in his jeans.

20 percent of profit signed for a million gone for six. Around a million

Good transfer window movements there, interested to see this Pickering lad next season. Only question is...are we buying him for the Premiership, or is Mowbray resigned we will be in the Championship again? Because if it's the former, I'm not entirely sure we can expect him to go from league 1 to the Prem...if it's the latter...how does the manager expect to motivate the players if he himself doesn't believe we can pull it off?

You don't rotate your back line especially when you have finally found some much needed stability back there.

Well Burnley don't and it hasn't done them any harm. They playing at a higher level and yrt  it's always Tarkowski and Mee barring injuries every game

Yep, good player when he wanted to be. Another one though who gave the impression he thought he was slumming it at Rovers and never really pulled his tripe out because of it.

I always had the feeling he was just passing through.

I'd be surprised if the settlement even reached a million, but yeah even if it did we should still be looking at least at £1 million from this deal.

Not a question of having it both ways it's more a case of sharing the credit where it should be shared.

He's done well convincing the owners to back the setting up of that dept. Hardly rocket science in suggesting a club the size of ours should have one though. And don't forget the recent talk of recruitment going over his head on a player when he wanted someone else.

No idea if that might be the case so best to share the plaudits for now and keep everyone happy.

I’m completely happy to share the plaudits. The question is, if it goes wrong, are people willing to share the criticism?

Wigan release there most promising player bar Joseph left in Emeka Obi strapping centre half. Interesting

Seems like it was done to accommodate some journeyman from Plymouth.

Its not gone down too well on twitter but some are saying there are some efl rules which have basically forced them to release him. Not sure if its squad size or finances that have dictated it.
