Sounds good,.somewhat,.great going forwards.  Defending? Meh.  Don't we need a defender first?

I am assuming we had the good sense to include an out should Pickering get seriously injured during his loan period.  If he is sidelined he would come to our medical staff for treatment right?

They where signed in different windows. Was Dolan even signed in a window, he wasn't contracted when he came was he? But the point wasn't about individuals, but the judging of successful transfer windows, before the transfers actually make appearances for the Rovers.

That's the thing isn't it, when Souey brought players in our promotion push, you could see the team as a unit improving as each one came in.

All of the excitement about data etc is purely how good he is going forward, nothing about his defensive capabilities which as you say is the priority.

I'm not really interested in that anymore. I'll reserve judgement until I've seen him playing for Rovers.

Will there be room in the treatment dept ? He'll have to wait his turn.

From the resident clown so probably a load of bollocks. And a sale I suspect is inevitable barring an unlikely contract extension but we should laugh off 8-10m. We are really in a pickle once he goes.

Waggott was bigging up a much larger fee not long ago. If won't look good if we only get £8m, especially as Newcastle are due a big slice.

I imagine Nixon know Moyes fairly well, both Glaswegians ‘in the industry’ that have lived around Lancs for donkeys years, so he may well have an inside track on who he ‘likes’ player-wise.

Doesn’t necessarily mean he thinks he’s good enough for a side with aspirations for the top end of the PL or lead to bids at West Ham, the porn barons have a lot of say when it comes to signings.

Players come and go when Dack got injured we thought we were in a pickle then until Armstrong stepped up.

I agree we should be looking for more than 8-10 million but Armstrong isn't irreplaceable 12-14 months ago his starting place in the team was debatable

We are in a pickle already, even with Armstrong here.

tbh, He was spot on with our January signings.

The article is basically saying West Ham are scouting him. Thats it.

Hopefully we have targets in mind to replace Armstrong if he goes.

Luke Jephcott would be handy.

Scott Fraser for the middle of midfield to replace Trybull and Downing

I seen his goals yesterday and he looks a good finisher.

I would look at Woodrow at Barnsley.

Grant at Lincoln looked decent for Lincoln on Friday from what I watched.

Nixon is on the wind up here. £8 million. Us wanting £10 million. I can literally see the bloke taking a sip of his coffee and chuckling away to himself when he types these things.

In terms of the interest. Doesn't take a genius to work out that Arma is on a short list with a few others for West Ham.

We do need to sort that contract asap though. Or the max we will be able to get is about £15 mil. Long term, decent raise and include a release clause. Suits all parties.

He was but Armstrong as a winger and Armstrong as a striker are 2 different propositions. If we sell him it will be nigh on impossible to replace a striker who has scored around 30 goals since the start of 2020.

I cant help but think back to that Boro game at home when Armstrong (and of course Dack) were both out, and we had to rely on Brereton and Gallagher, we wouldnt have scored if we had carried on all night.

Chair from QPR looks like a very good player. Would love us to go for him to spice up our attack.

Won't be able to afford him.

As for Arma, if we got a bid for 8 million, I would literally tell them to fuck off.

Might be why his contract extension is taking a while...
