Bethnal Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Gotta look to the break for any success now, which suits us, generally, but we look very rattled. It was a foul, it was a penalty, it was probably a yellow and all of it was unnecessary. Lenihan gets a small grab of his own shirt and then goes in much harder, he's been tricked, but that's how strikers are entitled to play. It's not befitting of a captain to get sucked in there, it's poor, poor play. Quote
Oldgregg86 Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Wasn’t even a foul never mind a red. I don’t know what people expect lenihen to do other than what he did . Didn’t push him, didn’t trip him and didn’t met him go past. Game ruined by a shite decision. We looked really good until that. Hopefully we can continue somehow with ten men 5 Quote

If the attacking player throws themselves to the ground at any contact, how do you counter that? 2 Quote

Oldgregg86 Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 I’d hate to be a defender in this era 1 Quote

rhodie Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Think there's still a goal in us, don't write us off yet. 2 Quote
Tugay-is-God Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Would Trybull not have made more sense at right back than Buckley? Or Johnson at centre back even? Quote

G Somerset Rover Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 What is it with Brentford away and things going 180 in a matter of minutes? Perhaps one day we’ll hold a lead there. 4 Quote

Miker Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Clear sending off for me, but feel for Lenihan as you have Toney running away ahead of you in the box. He should have just let him go, but it's instinctive to fight for the ball. Why the hell is Buckley on at RB?? Quote

Exiled_Rover Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Laughing at their CB dumping Gallagher into the stands: "Good old fashioned shoulder charge". How was that any different to the penalty? Quote

G Somerset Rover Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 (edited) We’ve had the rub of the green a little of late so can’t moan too much but Toney goes down like a deck of cards there. Looked pretty 50/50 to me. Edited December 5, 2020 by Gavlar Somerset Rover! 1 Quote

Fraserkirky Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 We were absolutely all over them before that. I am more upset with Lenihan over the completely unnecessary booking on the touch line. Penalty is harsh, but he is completely brainless at times. 1 Quote
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 This Buckley right back thing is bizzare. Absoloute liability 2 Quote

He played for it too, but today they were running side by side and Lenihan was a bit clumsy, Toney literally flew through the air with minimum contact, such was his excitement at being given the opportunity to dive. Games are won and lost now depending on if your player dives or not at the correct time. It's sad to see. Quote
Backroom DE. Posted December 5, 2020 Backroom Posted December 5, 2020 Like Brereton doesn't do the same whenever he feels contact. It is what it is. 2 Quote
