Or poor training. No team plays 5 CBs, they dont have to all be starters. We needed another backup CB - i called it a long time ago. Injuries to injury prone defenders is not unlucky - its the norm. Fraserkirky Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Why did the ref take so long to produce the red? Waiting for Canos to finish his pitch? Quote

We have 4 CBs who have the quality to start in this division. We have a myriad of options in the U23s that could be a 'backup'. Quote
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 If we could get Rothwell or Armstrong running at their back four, I get the feeling this ref would even things up. 1 Quote

Have to take the rough with the smooth. Don't want to hear Mowbray moaning! One game Merc.that ONE hurts us FOR FOUR Quote

Depends on the severity of the offence ..which was minimal ..one game ....but dissent carries two match ban ..if hes gobbed off . Quote

They've obviously been in the ascendancy since the goal, but we were still creating a few chances after the sending off. No chance, unless they get a red too. But then again football can be a weird game as we all know. Quote

Dolly blue Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Struggling to defend Lenihan.....totally reckless on Wednesday with his 2 or 3 handball incidents. First yellow today was foolish...again reckless. Warrior he might be ( Tony word ) intelligent, he certainly is not. Will never take us out of the championship Quote
Hoochie Bloochie Mama Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Douglas off injured. Pretty stupid to play him so soon after his last injury. Mowbray's a clown at times. Quote

Exiled_Rover Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Oh god, that penalty gets worse every time you see it. What a ridiculous dive. Literally thrown himself to the floor. 2 Quote

Lenihan, Williams, and Ayala are all injury prone and Lenihan always picks up a suspension or two. Throw in 3 matches a week cos of COVID and it was plain to see we needed another CB. We have Carter as well. Who would come here to sit on the bench behind Lenihan, Wharton, Williams and Ayala? It's all well and good saying X or Y is injury prone or picks up suspensions now. One centre half today got a red, the other an absolute freak injury. That's football. We don't always need to find someone to blame or say "look at me I said we needed more defenders I was right" Edited December 5, 2020 by Bigdoggsteel 3 Quote

only2garners Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 It’s only one game suspension, whether it was two yellows or a straight red. I presume the first yellow then counts towards him getting to 5 for another suspension, which he must be on his way to as well. Quote
Bigdoggsteel Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 On another note and I think he is ok on some ways, but has Gallagher the worst first touch in the first team? In the league? It's not tight anyway I'll say that Quote
Exiled_Rover Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Ugly stadium this btw. What were they thinking??! Quote
