Popular Post Exiled in Toronto Posted December 5, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 5, 2020 Terrific point, and it has to be said Mowbray out-managed their guy. That’s four points in four days magicked up by the subs. Personally I didn’t blame Buckley too much for the goal, Henry was on the overlap completely unmarked, and both Armstrong and Rothwell should have done better. Bucko did some great stuff in the last ten getting us well into their half. Davenport has a stormer and deserved his goal. 10 Quote

bigbrandjohn Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Put my CIS insurance training top on at half time for good luck. Took it off when Brentford scored. Coincidence? Anyone else have daft rituals to get us a result, or am I on my own in the OCD Rovers fan club? 2 Quote

A point might have been we could have hoped for, even if we had all 11 the entire game. So, Does Davenport deserve a runout, with alll the injuries, etc? Nailed on if he can play centre half! Quote

That famed Brentford front line and Toney in particular didn’t get much of a sniff in the 2nd half. Credit to Ayala and Johnson for marshaling and the experience to see things through 3 Quote
Bbrovers2288 Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Most unexpected point, absolutely superb from the lads out there, real batten down the hatches performance 1 Quote
BigBar Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Brilliant result and show of guts. The penalty doesn't sit well with me but it was sloppy from Darragh getting caught on his heels so I am undecided on that. Johnson was brilliant and fair play to him for bollocking the ref on some of his shady decisions. Nyambe is a beast. Unreal performance. Joe with a peach of a goal that didn't deserve to be amount to nothing in the end. Get in!!! 5 Quote
Paul Mani Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Great point. Next game comes up quickly. Be interesting to see what we have left out the injuries and suspensions when the dust settles. 2 Quote

No. I have an old satin scarf that I used to wear round my wrist to games in the early seventies. I always take it with me to big games and we seldom lose. It's called the lucky scarf! (I wear it round my neck though!) 3 Quote
1864roverite Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Mowbray should just say one thing the ref was utter shite? team spirit was there in adversity you can’t but admire the whole squad Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 one of the best feelings ever as a fan, going to the **** end of nowhere, getting beat, down to ten men, situation hopeless then banging in a late equaliser/winner? 4 Quote
Hoochie Bloochie Mama Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Massive amount of credit to Mogga and the coaching staff. The players seem to have developed much bigger bollocks this season along with a new playing style. 5 Quote
Popular Post Exiled_Rover Posted December 5, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 5, 2020 I thought that was a proper captaincy job by Johnson today. Lenihan has never rallied and organised the troops like that. 14 Quote

rovers11 Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 WOW that is a result to be proud of. Battling qualities in abundance. I didn’t see us scoring in a million years...and neither did their manager hence why he subbed quite a few of their best players. You can never discount this team and their manager has just found that out. Mind you, I don’t think TM thought we stood a chance either and decided to rest Armstrong and Rothwell for the next game after we went 2-1. Special mention to Buckley for sticking at it and digging in at RB against one of the best left backs in this league. Gallagher MOTM. 7 Quote

Blue n whites Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 I went from humming we are going up without realising to kicking the bean bag around the house in an instant. I'm so annoyed with debatable penalties like that. A penalty is enough but a red as well. A joke. It's not malicious or dangerous and in any other area of the pitch isnt even a foul. Totally changed the game, Saying that, I'm well pleased with the application of our players. Was good to see them celebrating at the end. Must of felt like a win. Keeps the positive vibes going. Well done boys. Quote
