G Somerset Rover Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 Conceding that early against a team who have had 5 shut outs in 6 is just unforgivable. Mountain to climb yet again. Quote
Butty Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 These aren’t great but they are really organised defensively, gunna be tough to get back here now. Got all the ball but doing absolutely nothing with it. Quote

SBlue Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 Injuries 1 Rovers 0 I think we’ve been ok tbh Can see us scoring, but can also see us conceding - Johnson has only been tested once and came up short. Really think we’re gonna be talking about “that year we somehow managed to have Harvey Elliott play for us” for years to come. Keep the faith. Quote
Exiled_Rover Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 Bloody time wasting at home. Game's gone. Quote

superniko Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 - Stoke are not good, we always have 1 or 2 clangers in us and they were clinical when we offered it to them. They’re the perfect team for us to play against, we just need to stick it in the net. - Gallagher needs hooking off at HT, he is our weakest attacking link by a mile. Offering nothing and giving the ball away at every occasion. - Trybull superb, very mobile, good pressing and good technically. Dolan for Gallagher or Davenport for Gallagher and move Rothwell up there and carry on as we are. 3 Quote

Put simply he wouldn’t. Mowbray needs dragging over the coals for the signing and his usage of him. Just bench him FFS, he’s awful. Quote
Miker Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 Gallagher needs to come off half time. It's like playing with 10 men at the moment. He's not offering anything. We need a moment of magic to unlock the defence. Either need to get Dolan on, or give Chapman/Butterworth a chance. Quote
joey_big_nose Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 I'd get Dolan on and get him running at their full back. Exactly what we need. Stoke are happy for us to have the ball so this is the perfect game for him. Reckon he will cause absolute carnage. 3 Quote
neophox Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 Trybull and Johnson with Eliott best players on the pitch. The others need to stepup, notably Gallagher, Holtby and Rothwell. Douglas once again fault for the first goal missing his marking. Quote
duckson Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 (edited) Gallagher will be on the pitch until the 85th minute....TM favourite. Edited December 19, 2020 by duckson Quote

LDRover Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 So slow and ponderous. Stoke wi let us play in front of them all day. Let's see if our esteemed leader can use his famed tactical nous to get us back in the game. Quote
roversfan99 Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 Plenty of huffing and puffing, side to side passes, nothing substantial, no shots on target and yet another game without a clean sheet. A lot of totally unsubstantiated snobbery from the commentators towards Stokes style too. Quote
yellowsubmarine Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 Knowing Tony... he's going to bring on... Buckley to unlock this giant Stoke team. 1 Quote

Tugay's Right Foot Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 We do miss Big Ben with his work rate, hold up and direct running. Thought he would be back Quote

They'll be queuing to sign him Apart from him not bothering to mark up at the throw in that led to the goal. Bell would’ve been crucified for that. Quote
