You may have a point.  Just shows where we are really down that left hand side.

Although I think he looks a bit stronger and bigger lately. Hopefully the competition is good for him,if you can call it competition

And we are without centre backs. Who would have thought it? Make make no mistake about it, it makes today so much more difficult. Shame as today is shaping up to be a real opportunity for progress.

Of a 3 he would be Ok, pace and the ability on the  ball.  I just think if Douglas has to play it's with a bit less defensive responsibility

Problem is Bell can't win a header or a tackle. he has very little defensive know-how, all of which should be a given for a center half, even a bad one.

He had jrc down as backup to Nyambe...he had lenihan williams and ahala down as main centre backs...douglas whos been without a game in as main left back bearing in mind no pre season...absolute disgusting management knowing their injury problems

But the other 2 missing was very obvious! And after Travis and Dack we really should be aware long term injuries happen.

The problem is that going with so many injury prone defenders means that we have no room for error, no margins for any other long term injuries in defence. It's basically having a strategy that hopes nothing bad/unexpected happens and having no room to manovere when it does.

Scott’s been injury prone his whole life, everyone who knows him could have predicted him getting injured.

Literally every player gets injured at times.

As is said here, every team is getting injuries!

ya got to explain that!!!!!!!!!

He wins headers and can tackle, his movement does not have to be as intense, as in midfield. With the choices that we have, a reasonable option. Is that explanation enough.

I couldn't understand why we let Magloire go out on loan when we knew all of Williams, Ayala and Lenihan would go missing from time to time. What experience is he going to get in non league football ?

Yes bur we knew all three first choice centre halves regularly miss games. We got lucky with Wharton making the grade.
