LDRover Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 Shite result, no positives you can take from that game. We flick from stagnation to regression from game to game and will continue in that vein until the end of the season when we go full on regression. 2 Quote

Gallagher should be pretty straightforward with Dack and Brereton back. However we absolutely have to sign a left back from somewhere. Douglas is an absolute liability. Totally agree, an absolute must!! Quote
neophox Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 Did you all see that when Gallacher realized Dack was about to come on he laid down in injury..shame Quote

West Yorks Rover Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 Barnsley win it late against Hudds, above in the league 2 points better off, i'll bet they have a budget half of ours. Nobbers scab it late at Derby. 1 Quote

We have a good team. The players at our disposal is not the issue. Like Steve Gibson saw at Boro, we've reached the limit under Mowbray. We need to let him go and thank him for what he's done for the club, then get the manager us who can get us promoted like happened on Teeside. It won't happen under the Venkys, though. What we need and what we get have rarely been the same for this past decade. 2 Quote

G Somerset Rover Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 (edited) Someone said earlier that Mowbray hasn’t beaten Pulis in 8-9 games. He can never get the better of the savvy, round the block, managers can he? Not like he even flexes his thinking at half time either. We so desperately need some fresh ideas. More players sitting behind the guy with the ball and no one in front (when we're attacking). No movement. Poor match poor result. And these are the good points. Quote

Think he's a lucky bugger who just gets a result when he needs it from a self preservation point. All correct apart from the fact on this occasion we didn't win. Bit better after the subs due to the individual talent of those coming on but pretty dreadful overall. Pretty disgraceful really that as against Rotherham we need to go a goal behind to get any sort of reaction. But I guess the cry from the apologists will be "only 5 points out of the play offs". And on we limp. 1 Quote
Bbrovers2288 Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 Starting every match with a handicap with mowbray in the dugout. somebody said we will wait too long to pot , same as bowyer. We already have, he has overstayed his welcome. Season in league 1 was enough for me to say he wasn’t good enough. 7 Quote
rovers11 Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 I like TM but it's time for a change. It's the same old story time and time again. We have a good squad this year, good enough for top 6 but we're not getting anything other than mid table. Buck has to stop with the manager. Who fires him though? No one at the club will and the owners have no idea what they're doing, so it won't happen. 2 Quote

Intelligence isn't one of Mowbray's traits. He tries to be cerebral but his way is simply to set up the team and hope they get good. He's pretty much stated this in interviews. 1 Quote

neophox Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 Maybe Balaji Will sack both Waggott and Mowbray and then give Slaven a call.. Quote
Bigdoggsteel Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 Dack looked great though. He will unlock some defences. Brereton great to have back too. Just too many passengers. Holtby is the lynchpin of Mowbrays "keep the ball ,but do nothing with it" philosophy. No goals or assists this season. Get Downing in, looks far more dangerous in the final third. Gallagher, just stupid being played there, thank god that's probably over for now though with Brereton back. Ayala and Lenihan looked decent enough to be fair. As for Douglas. Seriously, what has happened there? Have we signed his twin or something. I'm starting to think this is unfair on Bell. 3 Quote

neophox Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 Trybull should har starter today and also IF Bell cant get back to the side then we really have to sign a ned left back. Quote

And on we limp. Well he clearly cannot motovate with his team talks. That's ongoing since League 1. We keep the ball and tap it around, but do we really have the hunger to suck that ball into the goals? We just seem to accept everything..shit decisions, antics from the opposition, nothing seems to rile our lads up Ya, individual talent will probably get us more points going forward, but the mangager has dropped the ball a lot recently with some of his decisions.
