I reckon Liverpool have stipulated he plays if fit as part of the loan agreement. 1 Quote

Elliott has been worth his starting position but it is increasingly clear Mowbray doesn't know what to do with him. Playing him forward of Armstrong isn't working. The kid is 17 so doesn't yet have the physical strength to out muscle Championship defenders in tight areas. 1 Quote
Uddersfelt Blue Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 Thick snow here in Huddersfield. The game must be in danger of being called off Quote

Blue blood Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 Have a horrible feeling under TM that these games are already approaching dead rubber as under his guidance we won't make playoffs or get relegated this season. We have had a few bad results, what passes for pressure at Rovers is mounting, so we will probably get a win. With the win cue "we're only X points from playoffs," "now we will kick on," and "we've turned a corner" only for us to realise in a few games time we haven't pressed on at all. The world war 1 trench warfare advanced more quickly than out journey under TM. Still after a few poor results a win would be a welcome change and give momentary cheer. Also for good or bad, attended/watched or checked result I do enjoy looking at all the results and the match reports and the reaction on here after a game. If football is shut down again, it'll certainly take away a key aspect of my weekend. I appreciate though that's not the prime factor in the powers that be decision making process. 4 Quote

My reaction to him starting as a striker was 'what?'. I found it bizarre we have the leagues leading goal scorer who is a striker, so he plays wide and our most creative player takes the strikers role. He loves to play players out of position and moves them around when they are playing well. How do you get consistency? 3 Quote
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 Are we going to see a reaction from the Team tonight?, will one of our most creative young players in Dolan be benched again? Tony's Tombola spins. Quote

I can't summon up any enthusiasm at the moment but a win always puts a smile on my face. Even a hard fought for away draw has the same effect. I've long since given up trying to anticipate what the team will be or even what team I'd like to see out on the pitch. Head says we'll play like drains and lose. Heart says we might put in a performance and get a draw. 1 Quote
moerpho Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 Hoping to see Dack get a run-out again tonight. Thought he showed glimpses of what we've been missing with him out and he can only get better. Kinda scary to think that an out-of-form recently-back-from-injury Dack is a waaaaay better option than the donkey that is Sam Gallagher. Wouldn't mind Gallagher starting and playing an absolute blinder if it means someone will take him off our hands in january. Absolutely useless the way he is used in our current setup. Could perhaps work in a 4-4-2 in league 1 or 2. I'm at a stage in my annual christmas Rovers depression where I don't really care anymore - just watching/reading/following out of habit. Perhaps a sound trashing of Hudds could prove a turningpoint, but both head and stomach says no. Thank god for alcohol...... 1 Quote
Hoochie Bloochie Mama Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 Well Mowbray thinks Hudds style will suit as they will attack us and leave holes. Hopefully he's right. Quote
