Dolan hasn't been in the danger area with the ball in space much, sure, but his touch, control, dribbling and intelligence has been streets ahead of the rest. Some of the lads just not on his wavelength or he would have been creating chances. Once someone does free him up in that danger area he will roast this lot. Doncaster also putting 2 or 3 men on him as soon as he gets the ball. thats our big problem,we`ve got half a dozen players with speed of a greyhound but we continually **** about with short passes that go nowhere enabling the opposition to get back and mark easily, play to your strengths ffs, draw the opposition on and hit them on the break 1 Quote
neophox Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 How could Lenihan miss that... Trybull best player on the pitch. Quote
booth Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Brereton really put himself out to get to that ball didn't he 🙄 Quote

He retains possession, yes, but he allows the other team to get into their defensive shape. Quote

Sick of it being so screamingly obvious yet our professional management team insisting on playing the same way. 1 Quote
Bigdoggsteel Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Soft yellow I can see how Trybull could excel in a certain formation. He's a good passer, good tackler and some man to perioutte with the ball to keep possesion. Quote
Exiled_Rover Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 In our 4-3-3 formation you have to play Dack in the Holtby / Buckley creative role in the middle 3. He's just too slow to play in the front 3 and playing him as a False 9 is self defeating. Quote
AspRover Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Buckley looks good on the ball going forwards, but he isn't a fullback. Trybull looks tidy as a defensive player but doesn't offer that much else. Bell is awful but I can kind of see why we play him - he is stretching their defence simply by being there and being fast. Dack is neat but not up to speed yet. Dolan and Brereton running at their defenders look the biggest threat. Quote

bluebruce Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Honestly. Dolan is just making a mockery of the fact TM hasn't given him considerably more game time recently. Quote
West Yorks Rover Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Well we've had plenty of shots, according to BBC text, but nearly all from outside the area. Quote
Stuart Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Travis gets bookings on reputation at this point. Quote
EgyptianPete Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Travis not put one pass together nowhere near fit now gets booked, seems to stand around a lot so far Quote
