It's horrendous I'm not an expert on pitch maintenance, but it's not like we have the same issue as the DW Stadium - we've seen luscious pitches at Ewood. If the groundsman has enough resources and the pitch still looks like this, replace the groundsman. If he's a well respected groundsman, but doesn't have the resources, up the investment. Quote

Miker Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 Matondo looks like their danger man so far. Brainthwaite has been excellent on his debut. Looks confident and has stepped in with some key tackles and clearances. The pitch is horrendous and is really hampering our ability to play on the ground. Looks like Rothwell has already injured himself due to the pitch. Quote
Doug Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 (edited) Looks like they've been training on the pitch all week its that bad Edited January 16, 2021 by Doug Quote
BigBar Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 The pitch has genuinely angered me. It's pathetic, harsh weather or not..it's down to neglect. 3 Quote

Backroom DE. Posted January 16, 2021 Backroom Posted January 16, 2021 We've been told the owners will always cough up money if asked. Why is nobody at Ewood asking for emergency funds to sort out the embarrassing state of the pitch? Probably hoping for a COVID-related season suspension so they don't have to make the request. 2 Quote

Exactly and it would hardly break the bank considering what money is spent on Quote

Man, i mean he has had a couple of good games, he has scored twice but player of the season x_X plus id rather player winger as a winger and striker as a striker. Quote
Stuart Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 Is Elliott doubling up at right back with Nyambe? Quote

We used to have full time groundsmen at Ewood. Now our groundsman does 2 days at Ewood, 2 days at Brockhall and 1 day doing the lawns at Venky mansion. Same reason why the ball was dropped and the Brockhall pitches froze. Jack Frost didn't check the rota. Quote
Bigdoggsteel Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 Well onside. More shit officiating Sick of it Quote
nathan_rovers1 Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 the pitch looks absolutely awful, what is going on... TERRIBLE officiating.... Quote
Stuart Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 Rothwell seemed to hold on to that too long. I called offside in real time. I’d be happy to see whatever definitive replay Neil and Warren are looking at. 3 Quote
nathan_rovers1 Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 A completely routine call and they have completed stuffed it. Quote
Bigdoggsteel Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 Seriously though in a game where goals will be hard to come by, that's unnaceptable ,but of course nobody will face consequences Quote
BigBar Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 We do get ABSOLUTELY shafted with decisons. I don't see many evening themselves out in our favour. One or two yes but more times than not we are on the recieving end of bad calls. 1 Quote

Oldgregg86 Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 Branthwaite looks the real deal. Been excellent so far 1 Quote
nathan_rovers1 Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 Rothwell held onto it to the perfect amount of time, he was onside.... 1 Quote
