JHRover Posted March 28, 2021 Posted March 28, 2021 https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/watch-the-robins-high-performance-centre-being-built/ This is Bristol City's new facility now ready for opening. Looks quite impressive. Also, looking at the photos of the site from the air I would guess it isn't too far off the size of the lower Brockhall site in area. Note however that Bristol have not got all the things we are supposedly after - indoor pitch being the biggest and most notable - but also accommodation for academy scholars - and a car park for 90 cars. tomphil Posted March 28, 2021 Posted March 28, 2021 6 years in the making 🤨 That'll put us 11 years behind Brentford but it would certainly see Tony through to his retirement years. 1 Quote

Aye, the mighty Brentford: please remind us Tony and Waggott, when's the last time they ever won owt? .....oh, they've never won fuck all!....let's follow that shall we? Meanwhile, 6 times FA Cup Winners, 2 times Football League Champions, Premier League Champions, League Cup Winners and several years spent in Europe (prior to 2011) look to follow the lead of a comparative bunch of no marks? Get fecking real: WE ARE BLACKBURN ROVERS FC, small town but bloody big history!!...do one! 6 Quote

It’s a waggott Mowbray wet dream. They don’t care about history or what’s been won. Where a little mill town remember Quote

den Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 (edited) Just more dumbing down of the club that Jack Walker left us. Im sure the Coventry three hate what he did here. They obviously hate anyone with ambition for the club, - anyone who thinks we can do better than what they offer. Edited March 29, 2021 by den 1 Quote
tomphil Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 The thing here though is it as far as we know not down to them. It's being pitched and pushed by the present cosy little regime who won't or are very unlikely to be here in another decades time. We are on dangerous turf here being played to other agendas yet again. Broom needed. 1 Quote

He also fell flat on his face right in front of the Riverside terrace when trying to vault the pitch side wall at the front that end to get back to the TV box at half time in a live FA Cup match in the mid 80s (I can't remember whether it was Southampton or Man Utd). The Scots had a banner (and a song) about old Jimmy. Edited March 30, 2021 by oldjamfan1 2 Quote

I sent this letter by e-mail to Lynsey Talbot at the Club today to be forwarded on to Mr. Waggott and hand delivered a hard copy to the ground where it was picked up by Security. The place looks desolate. Shuttered up more securely than Fort Knox. 11 Quote
Popular Post RevidgeBlue Posted March 30, 2021 Popular Post Posted March 30, 2021 Would just like to add that we intended running this in the Lancashire Telegraph first as a paid for ad with a QR code linking to the letter but to date they don't seem inclined to run it. What a worthless rag it is. It was precisely because they weren't investigating this fully and impartially, or asking any of the right questions, that we felt the need to do this in the first place. 20 Quote
tomphil Posted March 30, 2021 Posted March 30, 2021 Get this printed in your paper and on your website you spineless yes men. Do your duty to the Blackburn public and Rovers fanbase instead of toeing the club/manager/owner line all the time. Anybody would think you were just a propaganda tool for the latest names over the door. 8 Quote

The local newspaper wouldn’t publish the letter? That tells you all you need to know about their priorities. 4 Quote
