We're a Tosin plus a left back away from being a clear promotion candidate this season. And letting Raya go was probably a mistake in hindsight. We looked this all season...conceding soft goals then pill one back and then just let them ease through... 1 Quote

BigBar Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 At least Harry Pickering will be accustomed to the league we may be playing in next season. A masterstroke in defensive prep from Tones. If there is one thing he knows, it's how to sort a defence so jokes on you lads, always 2 steps ahead! Quote

Can’t keep giving away goals through individual mistakes like we did for the first one. Need to find a solution for Dack because formations aren’t working for him at all. No need for all the pending Mowbray out messages. Their £30 million man scored 2 goals, they are a better team. Move on to the next one where we should expect 3 points. Go on then I’ll bite.... What about the game before that? Or the one before that? Or the one before that? Or even the one before that? Quote

Hoochie Bloochie Mama Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 So those two young lads playing at the back tonight, are they brickies who turned up at Brockhall in the hope of work and it's all got a bit confused? 3 Quote

He is well past his sell by date. 3 Quote
bazza Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 We played ok tonight but were outclassed by a far better team; unlike the previous 4 games when we should have won. 1 Quote

Coventry were well organised and resolute and a bit unlucky, could easily nick it against us, if they play like that on Saturday. how reassuring Quote

Fair point. Mentally it'll be a tough ask for the group to pick themselves up now. I don't know who will be available for Saturday but not sure I would choose that central defensive partnership again. Nyambe inside and Bennett at right back probably a better choice. Bennett because that will be Tony's go to man now. Elliott was superb tonight by the way. Has had a poor run but back to his best. Player of the season. Quote

Dalglish hadn't already had several spells of going 5,6,7 games without a win under his tenure. Dalglish actually got us into the top 6. In some of those games under Dalglish during that spell we were the better team. Well said. 2 Quote
