If you run at pace into the box with the ball, chances are it's a pen. Rovers for many years have lacked a player who would just run at people and take the ball into the box. Why was Greal8sh the most fouled player? Because he carried the ball into dangerous areas and defenders panicked

So another dodge on actually trying to rebuild our asset base and a cop out by turning to loans again.

What happens when all the assets are gone?

We can move on to what? No reinvestment, another asset off, no replacement (a loan isn't a replacement).

Has anything Mercer said ever come true?

Maybe wait and see what actually happens first?

Because we have to move on, the lad wants to move, we get the best we can for him and move on and hopefully get 2/3 in, regardless permanently or loans, pointless keep criticising everything they do, we are where we are.
Would love  to splash the lot on replacements but it ain’t going to happen as we all know, just have to get behind the players we end up with and a decent bit of luck with injuries we might have a decent season.

Rovers will sell Rhodes to Bolton and Wee Dougie? never happened

Rovers will be sold or in administration shortly? not happened

Alex Neil will be Rovers manager and he started that one last January and we are in August and it hasn't happened.

So take your conclusion from that

Fair points but it was never in AAs interest to formally request a transfer.

Exactly, why does he even need to ask to leave, its been clear for a whole season that our plan was to sell him.

He will be back on shortly to tell us that he broke the Rhodes to Rovers story on here even though it was Glen Mullan

A video of Khadra from friendlies and kids games. Everytime he runs with the ball he loses it at the end!

Wow never seen end product that awful, just watching the video frustrates me.

That first clip is a belter, wide open space he runs into unopposed then it cuts out before we see the ball.

I’m going to assume it was a peach of a cross

'Hopefully' get 2/3 in regardless of permanently or loans is exactly what I am getting at.

I've said throughout that I've no issue with letting Armstrong go to a PL club provided the money is good. But this attitude of we'll just pocket a substantial fee and 'hope' to get a couple on loan the other way is what I can't tolerate.

The club has known Armstrong is on his way for weeks/months. They need players ready to bring in. Quickly.

These need to include permanents. If we can't or won't sign permanents when we get a substantial cash windfall from selling an asset like Armstrong when will we? How do we expect to emulate Brentford and comply with FFP  rules in future if all we do is sign loans?

Just 'get behind the lads' and hope for luck with injuries isn't acceptable either. This is a professional organisation, you don't just hope for the best and get through the season with no injuries. You need a squad to cope with the challenges ahead.

It's a lot of goals to lose just to bank 10 million which will go nowhere. However this is where we are at and it looks like the best deal available.

Also it frees up another 15k pwk from the payroll so like the Rhodes exit, chances are that some of that is what will be available and nothing else.

So what can we get for 5k pwk ?

What was the point of that video? It was terrible. Player receives ball, players runs with ball fairly quickly, player loses it or plays a terrible final ball. So, his highlights are, he can run with the ball quite quickly? Snap him up!

Any decent striker with good service will score a bag full for Rovers with some of the players we have. Chapman, Pickering, Butterworth, Brereton, Buckley and Rothwell are all capable of a good pass we just need a finisher.

I want Obafemi, don’t care about much else. Seen him enough to think he can score 20+ goals here next year.

But that would put him on similar numbers as AA, so why would Saints bother buying AA if they already had Obafemi?

Will we have 300 on the board before the transfer wicket falls?  This one is struck  to long on.

Ooh fielder fumbled, 300 up. 👏👏👏👏

Half saving me a job here. At least post the whole thread. Plenty right with this lad but plenty wrong too.
