WacoRover Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 I’d like to see players play today who are signed & we are counting on next season. One exception to this, play Elliott the rest of the season. He seems to have enjoyed his experience at Rovers (read: he’s received playing time to his satisfaction), and he makes things happen. I favor Lenihan, if he’s fit. 1 Quote

tomphil Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 If the development stuff was genuinely true he'd play all our own players from now. He won't though he'll look after the loan boys and give games to the ones he's helping find another club when their contracts here finish. Everything he says and everything he does are at opposite ends of the sales job he keeps pushing. Just get our kids out there and the ones we expect to be here next season. No need nor sense for anything else, that fits the development theme, it'll be shown to be bull again though. Mowbrays benevolent camp he's running here looking after everybody with someone elses money. Doesn't matter where we finish and he says he doesn't look at the table and is only bothered about individuals. Well prove it then in the last games otherwise you are proving your words as fraudulent. Quote
johnradfordsubbuteo Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 This email from Rovers. I think it's what Private Eye call "desperate marketing": Join us for all the action from Hillsborough as two famous clubs - who have both won more English top flight titles than Spurs - battle it out in the Sky Bet Championship as Rovers take on the Owls. 3 Quote
roversfan99 Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Another game, another bizarre team selection. Quote
arbitro Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Seven of his starting eleven might not even be Rovers players in a few weeks. He's a strange man 2 Quote
Cherry Blue Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Out go Nyambe, Branthwaite, Travis, Johnson, Holtby In come Bennett, Lenihan, Evans, Trybull, Rothwell Quote
frosty Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Regardless of whether you rate Buckley or not, picking Evans ahead of him is mental. Thought we’d maybe just about got past the days of seeing both Bennett and Evans in the starting eleven. Obviously not. 5 Quote
JacknOry Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 not bothered - so i expect players not to be bothered too. So, doubt ill watch Quote
Paul Mellelieu Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 COYBs. Midweek, means no booze. So little to look forward to. Quote
Fraserkirky Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Maybe Tony isnt too focussed on next season for some reason.....we can live and hope. Not giving Buckley game time here is a sackable offense alone. 3 Quote

RevidgeBlue Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Bennett and Evans in. Yet another massive two fingers salute to the fans. 5 Quote
BigBar Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 I'll watch..why? I don't know. Tony really has become a hated man. Team selection looks septic🙄 Quote
Hoochie Bloochie Mama Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Bennett at FB isn't ideal but who else is there? Quote
jim mk2 Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Bennett's off at the end of the season, so what's the point of picking him? It really does defy logic. Quote

Topping up the vast pots of money they’ve already had out of us with appearance bonuses. Let’s face it, neither of them is getting a contract near what they are on currently. Tony helping his trusted lieutenants out with a few thousand quid. 3 Quote
davulsukur Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Not liking that starting 11. Bennett and Evans, urgh. Trybull and Evans in the same midfield is the least dynamic ever. Quote
OldEwoodBlue Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Just a meaningless friendly Mowbray Out 1 Quote
