Plus more people to buy merchandise, food and drinks items I don't disagree with you Chaddy just that I think it's extremely unlikely to happen under the current regime. Waggott and the local Constabulary give off the impression that for them large crowds are too much of an inconvenience and far too much like hard work. And as Matty said his modus operandi since being here has been to rinse an ever decreasing hard core for as much as he can get out of them rather than make any genuine effort to increase attendances. 5 Quote

Hoping Rovers do something very similar..adult season ticket for 250 pounds for all areas apart from the upper Jack Walker stand. with free admission to under 23's and 18's games. On shirts, all down to the design of Home and Away shirt and training kit. We've been down that road and had good crowds with it. However we were in the Premiership! The current regime seems to prefer the highest prices it can get for watching the worst football in living memory. 3 Quote

As for renewal next season it's a real catch 22 situation. Renew and you're effectively endorsing the abysmal performance of Mowbray, Venus and Waggott. Abstain, and the more people that do that gives Waggott the perfect excuse to mothball more and more of Ewood and come up with another scheme to flog Brockhall. I really really don't want to do either but obviously I'll have to do one or the other. I'm erring on the side of renewing so I can vent my disapproval against the Coventrio from inside the ground and lobby for their removal from the moral high ground of being a season ticket holder rather than being someone who no longer attends games or who contributes nothing to the Club financially. Me too! Everybody needs to..Either with or without Club Support, WE are absolutely determined to re-invigorate the club we all love deeply. It cannot be allowed to whither on the vine! Whether coventrio remain or not, WE are going to be extremely active post season in readiness for season 21/22. WE will not be deterred or bought off (you’re having a fucking laugh!) WE ARE The Rovers!!! Quote

I totally understand your dilemma and I know many are in the same position with a decision to make. I would use the word reject or boycott rather than abstain. Take the positive action of not attending. Disapproving chants within the stadium will not reach the ears of Venky's. They would not take any notice anyway. If the first match with fans in attendance is the first of a new season then there won't be too many dissenting voices - new season, new hope etc. An organised protest outside an empty stadium will be noticed and hit Venky's financially. A total boycott is the only way to get their attention and media coverage. Embarrass them into submission. Quote

PeteJD13 Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 The only way we’re getting close to 10k in season ticket sales is via a manager change. With a bold appointment coupled with cheap prices we will get neither Quote

Anyone have a problem with that scenario? Being so dismissive of other people might be something folk have a problem with. The tone of some of your posts belies the lack of ego you speak about. I truly hope YOU (or someone, anyone!) do manage to have a positive influence on the owners and help bring about improvements. Getting “others” onside, collaborating, sharing and generally being respectful would likely increase YOUR chances of achieving this, and ensure you had the fans backing if and when YOU do. 4 Quote
