Guest Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 I’m just going to enjoy the brilliant atmosphere there’s gonna be tomorrow (until 2pm and we’re playing 5 at the back) to be honest. Waiting on results tonight was (imo) slightly silly. But each to their own! A win tomorrow and no matter what happens elsewhere, we’re in with a shout of potentially TWO playoff spots on the final day which in itself is a miracle baring in mind how shit we have been. That’s all we should focus on right now. Quote

SU are a team of rustic cloggers with a smattering of skill. It must be good to be a fan of them. Quote
davulsukur Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Big ask for us now, although obviously not impossible. All we can do is win both and see what happens. Realistically, it's not going to happen but we knew that ages ago. 1 Quote
HowieFive0 Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 The only other quandary is if we beat Bournemouth ..Fulham are champions before playing Luton..they ll still be half pissed by Monday teatime !!😂 Quote
West Yorks Rover Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Listened to the game on Talksport, they said before kick-off that QPR had at least 4 key players unavailable, (just our luck) didn't expect owt from them, especially with nowt to play for. Quote
Darrenbot Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 If we cant go up at least lets beat the tin pot team from Bournemouth,i'd much rather Forest get the 2nd place than them. 2 Quote
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 To be fair to Sheffield, that was a great second half performance in a pressure game for them. Compare that to the piss poor capitulations we displayed as soon as the pressure was raised. Tells you all you need to know. 7 Quote
jim mk2 Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 It was over weeks ago when we couldn’t take 1 point off the likes of Peterborough, Stoke and others. And Ewood is going to be a party venue for fourth division Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic as our lot fail to turn up again. Goodnight 3 Quote
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 I'm going tomorrow to celebrate the fact we still have a Club to support after twelve years of these disastrous feckers in Pune! 2 Quote
1874 Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 (edited) We need to win both games now. We make the playoffs if we win both and Luton lose both games and/or Sheff Utd lose to Fulham. and Boro don't Win both and Millwall don't score a hatfull while winning both We could finish level on points, GD and GS with Sheff Utd but would win the head to head. We could finish level on points, GD, and GS with Millwall and Sheff Utd in which case Millwall by beating Sheff Utd twice would qualify We could finish level on points GD GS and head to head with Millwall but with a better GD than Sheff Utd. No idea what happens then. A playoff to get in the playoffs Hopefully not the fair play league Edited April 29, 2022 by 1874 Quote

We missed our chance in March. It's the longest of long shots, less than a 1% chance, but I don't get the point in being so dismissive. Quote
den Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 It took some doing to finish behind all these teams, but we managed it. 7 Quote
Gordon Gekko Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 At half time I was bouncing around the pub like it was 1995 at full time I gutted. Can we still do it? Quote
Gordon Gekko Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 We win both games, Luton to lose against Reading. Lucas Joau screamer in the last minute Quote

Backroom DE. Posted April 30, 2022 Backroom Posted April 30, 2022 Ultimately we only have ourselves to blame. 10 points clear of 7th in January to where we are now is on the manager and the players and nobody else. I suppose Mowbray had to give us one more masterclass in death spiralling before leaving, and this one may have been the most spectacular of all of them considering the amount of hopes and dreams it destroyed. 9 Quote

Goal difference could come into play so Rovers need to bag a few without reply to stand any chance. Goal difference isn’t a factor - we have to win both matches regardless so our GD will be minimum +13 if we do that (win by 1 twice). We also need Sheff Utd to lose against Fulham regardless so worst case their GD is also +13 (lose by 1). Same for Luton - if we catch them then we have to win 2 and they lose 2 - in that case there is a minimum 4 goal swing and we then have a better GD. Shorter Version: GD doesn’t actually come into play for us Quote

roverandout Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 No point in blaming qpr. Sheffield utd do what all good promotion chasing teams do, keep going. Find a way to win. Rovers are clearly not a promotion chasing team Quote
