G Somerset Rover Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 (edited) Putting it in here as the transfer thread is pretty crazy understandably. Bournemouth look to be signing Dembele from Posh according to Pete O’Rourke. They’re also heavily linked to Todd Cantwell and Neco Williams. Probably easier to ask which decent player they’re not linked with! Hopefully their administration are as bad as ours at getting deadline day deals over the line. yellowsubmarine Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 But isnt it called a transfer news thread for a reason? Quote
Mattyblue Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 (edited) Their crowds have been well down this season, but I believe it was promoted heavily across social and local media as a day to help save the club, marches etc. Big support base across the East Midlands, unthinkable for them to go bust… Edited January 30, 2022 by Mattyblue Quote
G Somerset Rover Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 Cardiff beating Forest 2-0. I think we played them at a great time without Doyle, Hugill etc. 1 Quote

riverholmes Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 (edited) Based on players that I know, Bournemouth's Cantwell signing is only outdone, in the Championship, by Fulham getting in Neco Williams, this transfer window. He is a tremendous attacking full back. I think it's safe to say that Fulham will be out of sight before long and that we have a real job hanging on to 2nd. My personal view is that we've left ourselves light, especially, central midfield and up front. Our intense style, reliant on sprints on the counter-attack will inevitably mean injuries and fatigue. G Somerset Rover Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 (edited) Good to see other fans coming together on social media tonight laying into Bournemouth. They’ve really put a target on their back today. I for one would love them to fall on their sword. Edited February 1, 2022 by Gavlar Somerset Rover! 2 Quote

About 14.5k Bolton fans… more than we are getting sat in the automatic Championship promotion places. Why? They sold a shed load more STs than us last summer, it’s that simple. Over to you Waggott for the summer sales campaign… 2 Quote
RoverDom Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 Speaking of attendances, I heard Bournemouth are going to have to turn away fans so they can get all their players in the stadium. 9 Quote

Hes an average player who runs up and down the line. Doesn't do much with the ball. I really Don't rate Williams one bit Quote

Displaced Rover Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 I didn't realise Bournemouth were still in the FA Cup. Very favourable draw as well this weekend. Hopefully they crack on and get some serious fixture congestion in second half of the season. That said, they have the squad numbers to potentially sustain playing 3 times a week. 2 Quote
riverholmes Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 All the Championship Jan 2022 transfer incomings, courtesy of Mirror online. Premiership names like Cantwell (Bournemouth), Williams (Fulham), Hendrick (QPR) stick out but, across the board, it seems like a lot of strengthening has been done, which will make the league more competitive. That's really disappointing news...it had looked like they were going to persevere with him. At least the window is shut as they're some decent bodies down, particularly up front. Quote

Atko's Engine Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 That's bad news, there's more than enough ability in their squad for a decent manager to get a tune out of. Still, we have a good lead on them, so if we keep our own house in shape we don't need to worry about them. Not losing to them later this month is imperative though. 2 Quote
