How much involved did Park have in targets we chase or signed this Summer window? 

Surely Park's main priority this next 3 and half months is finding us a striker to sign in the January transfer window.

John Park has resigned according to Nixon. I’m totally indifferent to Park. I don’t know if he’s good, average or bad. What I do know is within 3.5 years I make that:

Yet there’s still fans that think entertaining anything Steve Waggott or Suhail Pasha say is worth a minutes time.

Whatever they say its coming just after the court case is postponed again and as Jan approaches is another of those big coincidences that regularly happen here.

could've seen this coming a mile off. you can't split the dof role into three and not expect a power struggle.

i'm assuming this means a). gestede feels his hands are tied and wants more responsibility over incomings, and b). park was made promises about his role when he returned that he feels have been broken.

you can't go from being the lead on transfer dealings in the vein of a director of football back to more of a chief scout role. park seems like someone who can read a room and has zero qualms about doing something about it. can't imagine he's pleased if the club is backing someone as inexperienced as gestede over someone with his experience and transfer nouse.

My guess is that Park has just been cut out and Gestede et al want more power and control.

If Gestede has decided this is an area that he wants to focus on then something had to give.

Sounds about right.

In the bigger picture, it's just the latest predictable development in the revolving doors circus that is Venkys' Rovers.

Add to that, the guff that Gestede was quoted as saying in today's Telegraph about how we want success but it won't be a quick process, ie basically a recycling of what Broughton said when he arrived.

In a couple of years time the next hired goon who replaces Gestede will be spouting the same kind of crap.

The project is dead, long live the project.

The main thing is who the head coach feels is best suited to sourcing the kind of players he thinks he can use, develop and work with.

My money would be on Park in that scenario but that's just assumption obviously.

And if you’ve got the highly experienced Park or the newly qualified in their first role Gestede, at Ewood you definitely back Gestede.

very possible,though he might have trolled up and down the country,produced a list of players and then got told we ar`nt signing anyone in january,i.e a complete waste of mr parkes time,thats if the nixon rumour is true

Oh, I don't agree with the move, but it seems the most likely explanation.

Either Gestede won the power battle and so Park was forced out, or Park realised that he was in a fight that he had no interest in and decided to leave before things got messy.

We've brought in between £30-40million in the last year, our honourable owners who are supposedly billionaires have "no impediments" to funding the club yet we have no money.

Park has just removed his name from the hat for who will be blamed for the upcoming January sabotage. That just leves Rudderless Gestede, a less sophisticated,less intelligent, less qualified, less experienced, less ambitious and an all round general inferior version of The Egg.

For some reason it will take decades to get this club promoted despite it taking Ipswich one season.

Rovers are what we used to call in engineering a “ stopping off shop”.  It was a job you took until something better came along. Just a temporary arrangement until you got a better offer.

it helps if you  want to be promoted😀,it`s pretty clear from past events going back to the bowyer era that the hierarchy do not want rovers in the premier league,

From what I can see, in the fleeting time(s) he's been here, Park has done an okay job. He's experienced so he'll get another gig elsewhere, somewhere where his hard work actually sees players come through the door.
