How long do we put up with this, our club is getting dismantled year by year, on the pitch we might still be in tier two but off the pitch, non league clubs would put us to shame.

The Academy is probably Premier League level. The squad is Championship level. The majority of the rest of the outfit in general (excepting the occasional genuine professional in our midst) is amateurish at best, and the owners would get told to fuck off by the Dog & Duck reserves.

Spot on. It's the now that matters. It always has. Winning is the name of the game, but not at Venky's polluted Rovers it isn't. No, demanding to win at this club under this regime is akin to bullying, being entitled and being spoilt, apparently. Remember Mowbray's "do they want a bully who just wants to win all the time, or somebody that can nurture and develop these players?" when talking about his successor. Then there was Broughton saying "do we adopt a win at all costs mentality, even at the cost of people's mental and physical health and wellbeing, or do we take a balanced approach, we need to be careful". I mean, wtf. Cut the bullshit and show us actual intent to win. We've got a Premier League to get back to. It's only been 12 years with the tossers being just the £200m+ down. It's the mentality from the top that filters down to all of these people when they come here and pollutes the atmosphere. No pressure, just keep us up, we can build towards promotion. Fans need to be patient. Fans don't understand. Only, no building ever takes place and every season ends up going the same way. Then every year or two down the line we have a new yes man in place telling us we need to be patient as it takes time.

They have no intention or desire to go up. That's how I see it.

You can see the exact same thing will happen under Eustace he'll be shrugging his shoulders soon and boasting about possession stats and player value every time we lose.

You can’t plan football success “long term”, that’s a ridiculous idea. You can plan club development over the long term but that’s completely different.

Football wise you just have to go for it every season, every game. Players won’t hang around while the Gestedes’ of this world piss about thinking of tomorrow. It’s the here and now that counts, it’s all that counts in honesty. Planning long term for success on the field is for the hideaways, the cowards.

Fantastic post, I couldn’t agree more, spot on and a absolute statement of fact.

Today’s statement from the club thanks John Park for his ‘dedicated service’, you couldn’t make it up ! They will now begin the process of recruiting for the role, wake up you have had 4 in the role and it would appear that no one is prepared to stay amidst the madhouse of the Venky infected Blackburn Rovers.

Further evidence of this being a club in crisis, despite Waggott and Gestede's claims to the contrary.

It isn't normal or in keeping with a stable club to have such a high turnover in staff behind the scenes. It points towards there being very significant strategic or financial problems (probably both).

Further evidence, if anyone needed it, of Venkys complete and utter indifference to what is happening, as any responsible, fit and proper owners, would be holding Silent Suhail and Waggott to task on this.

Who appointed Broughton? Why did his tenure last under 2 years?

Who brought Park back? Why has he gone so quickly?
Why has there been a revolving door of staff, yet those at the top of the tree and raking in the most cash take absolutely no responsibility for this and get to keep going with this nonsense?

"Head of recruitment" downgraded to "Chief Scout", possibly...or is that a vacancy that's been ongoing for some time?

Could that be to replace Tom Sutton?

I mean he left in May but this is Rovers we’re talking about.

Tom Sutton was head of UK scouting and we had Luke Griffin was head of European scouting under Sean Kimberley who was head of Recruitment and Gregg Broughton was Director of Football

As I suspected. All hail King Rudy.

Let me guess....John Park's sudden departure and search for his replacement makes the January window a difficult one and it wouldn't be fair to expect to see business done then.

We would be better waiting until the summer by which time the new Chief Scout or whatever he's called has had time to settle in and find what we need.

Tomorrow never comes.

Plenty of time to settle in and exit before the summer window opens and on we go……..

I believe there was a decent gap between Gus Williams resigning and John Park returning. Wouldn't be surprised to see that happening again.

January is shaping up to be another self engineered disaster.

John Park left Rovers cos Mowbray gone and he wanted to show loyalty to his friend. GB wanted him to stay and he wanted to go. We appointed Gus Williams who only stayed for 6 months before returning to the Welsh FA. We then appointed Kimberley before he left in the summer. Park then returned this summer

Ah yes, forgot about him. All aboard the Blackburn Rovers employment merry go round.

Chaddy, Park's loyalty to Mowbray didnt extend beyond the lure of another pay cheque when Waggott came calling in summer.

I can't detect from your matter of fact tone whether you regard this amount of upheaval as perfectly normal, nothing to see here.

Would you concede that it is indicative of a Club in crisis behind the scenes?

There’s no loyalty in football anymore. Sonny Liston once said “ You Can’t Put Friends In The Bank “, but it could have been said by anybody involved in modern day football.

Blackburn Rovers is a stopping off club. You just stay here until something better comes along.
