TruRover Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 Excellent half. Midfield has been best I’ve seen it in a long time. Winning everything. 2 Quote

bluebruce Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 We look hungry today and Swansea look leggy. I think our players are geed up by having the fans back in after so long, it must almost feel like they're making their debuts. I notice that so far in the Championship, no home team is losing today. AdamRochina Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 Dolan has missed a few good chances here, you have to think if that's Armstrong this game is over at 3-4 nil 3 Quote
duckson Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 (edited) We should be 2 up here at least, can see it biting us in the a$$ like normal. Edited August 7, 2021 by duckson Quote
Popular Post J*B Posted August 7, 2021 Popular Post Posted August 7, 2021 Dolan obviously has plenty of time in his career to improve and has all the fundamentals to succeed, but we can’t play a full season with him as the player getting the key chances. 10 Quote

davulsukur Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 Never had any belief that we would be up at half time! Excellent stuff, not complaining. 4 Quote

I mean he's never a #9. He provides nice energy out there, but he should never be leading the line at this level. 1 Quote
duckson Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 HT Buckley man of the half, quality. Dolan can't finish, give McBride a shot. 2 Quote
CambridgeRover Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 A little bit of swansea action just before half time but we are in control I would say, more of the same please But Dolan cant be the main man , I would try one of the academy lads second half 1 Quote

booth Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 Score a couple more and we're top of the league 😂 Quote
Backroom Mike E Posted August 7, 2021 Backroom Posted August 7, 2021 Hard to believe this is the same Rovers. Really quite fun to watch, it's like we're off the leash or something. Obviously buoyed by the fans, who in turn are buoyed by being back. I've really missed this. 2 Quote
SBlue Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 Is there still that bloke on here that reckons Buckley is shit? Midfield 3 have been fantastic, really good balance and tenacity 2 Quote

Backroom DE. Posted August 7, 2021 Backroom Posted August 7, 2021 Keep the players away from the manager at HT please. Quote
yankfan Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 Good first half. Excellent on the press, but have squandered too many chance. Should be 3 or 4. Dolan and Buckley have been dynamite pressing but both have been poor in giving us an outlet from the back. SG looked a donkey the first 10. Need to do better with the opportunities Swans are giving us. Quote
bluebruce Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 Our pressing game looking just as effective as it did at the start of last season. Credit where it's due, we have been excellent for the most part this half and should have at least two. Much like last season though, that pressing game is hard to sustain for a full campaign. Without reinforcements it can't be sustained. The only players in the front 3 we have who we know can do it effectively are the 3 we have out (since Armstrong looks to be off). There's no way the same 3 can do that all season, and if Brereton got injured again like last season, then what? It's not the only area we are thin in squad depth to be maintaining that intensity either. I don't think 5 loans are going to cut it, we simply have to be able to reinvest some of that Arma money, even if most of it gets swallowed by debt and contract renewals. 1 Quote
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 Decent start..anyone know the attendance? Quote
Roverthechimp Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 Kaminsky key - his early save when they were clean through was gold 1 Quote
