AllRoverAsia Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 Rothwell went for goal, and fluffed it. Enjoyed the game despite the weak referee. Quote

matt83 Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 Good win. Can’t say I’m any more optimistic about the future but take it where can get it. 2 Quote

neophox Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 Dolan is young... Even Armstrong missed chances as an 19 year old.. 2 Quote

Roverthechimp Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 Shout out to Kaminski for crucial saves. Brereton-Diaz for having the balls and nerve to score the penalty. 6 Quote
Gogger Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 Dont think ive seen a goalie beeing involved in so much, probaly our best attacker and Swanseas best defender. good to see the young ones daring to use the ball. Butterworth was excellent when he got to run at them 3 Quote
yankfan Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 Shocking really that Martin continued to have his side try and play it out of the back in the 2nd half. That tactic was always more likely to create chances for us than them. Should have just hoofed it long to beat the press. 1 Quote
Backroom Tom Posted August 7, 2021 Backroom Posted August 7, 2021 Beautiful, a real game for the fans to enjoy, a bit of an atmosphere even at times We had 30% possession but I’m amazed we didn’t score 5, xG through the roof The second half was played like we had 10 men but Swansea were abysmal truth be told. A bit of time wasting but the only other thing of note in time added on was us missing a glorious chance Buckley provided the worlds greatest first half performance then played the second with an arrogance and failed to make a single pass Great to be back 8 Quote
Mr. E Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 One-legged team of kids fully deserved their win today - wouldn't it just be this of all season starts we finally get a win. Kaminski still had to keep us in it a several times though, as sleepy as Swansea were they could have gotten something out of this. Instead of loan players can we not invest the money into some anti-injury charms or something? 1 Quote
Backroom Tom Posted August 7, 2021 Backroom Posted August 7, 2021 By the way Rothwell was 100% going for goal, if he wanted to pass he had a simple square ball 6 Quote
CambridgeRover Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 I would rather we fucked loaning more premier league youngsters and said "we are an academy building team" and develop that into an identity, let the kids have this season, come what may 4 Quote

Swansea aren't getting anywhere near the playoffs this year with that team they have and if you want 1 result to cover up all the cracks and mismanagment from Mowbray and co from the last 18 months not 3 months then go ahead but the more realistic supporters know its a going to be a long season on and off the pitch. 10 Quote

Backroom DE. Posted August 7, 2021 Backroom Posted August 7, 2021 Based on that showing Swansea are in for a long season. We'll be fine until injuries/suspensions and the usual death spirals come into play, but the first eleven we had on the pitch today are good enough to stay in the division. 6 Quote
roversinmyblood Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 Btw where was Chapman today? Is he injured? Quote

Popular Post tomphil Posted August 7, 2021 Popular Post Posted August 7, 2021 Vital early 3 points and great effort by the boys. Easy to get behind that kind of team and effort. Please stay away from the possession crap and just go out to win games and play football. There was something refreshing about that today. 15 Quote

Roverthechimp Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 Anyone know if Davenport was getting ready to come on before Gallagher pulled up? Have a theory that he was probably coming on for Buckley prior to that Quote
