Don't moan about the price of season tickets. If people are not happy with the price, then don't buy one. This is not aimed at anyone in particular. Quote
Mattyblue Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 I imagine prices will be ‘held’ ( but at the post early bird price), so £429 to £529. That’s Swag’s usual trick. Quote
MarkBRFC Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 (edited) Yep. And new applicants will be charged at £459-559. Then next season prices will be "held" at the above and rinse and repeat. A ST in the Blackburn End will be over £500 by 2025. Edited February 21, 2023 by MarkBRFC Quote

tomphil Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 Less is more to Steve. Less fans paying more that is, which means less stewards, turnstiles, less cleaning up staff etc etc Poundshop operator, think small. 2 Quote
CD_93 Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 Pitch costing us players. Still looking for the money for that stitch pitch, Steveo? Quote
tomphil Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 We were told by his coffee drinking spokesman on here that they'd sorted the pitch last summer. Well considering its been rather mild recently with no record rainfall it isn't looking great in areas for all that alleged extra investment. Lets be honest it was another dose of bull for what was just the usual summer seeding and maintenance. Quote
Mattyblue Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 I mean, I don’t understand it, they bought some lamps and everything… or maybe they just nicked the bulbs from the Jack Walker reception. 2 Quote

I was told there will be some investment (£750k) but this is from a payment/grant from the Premier League which is effectively to allow the Rovers Ladies to play their home games at Ewood from next season. It won't be a Desso pitch but large areas will be stitched. 1 Quote
Mattyblue Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 So adding another dozen plus games onto a tired surface through a Lancashire winter. 🤦♂️ Quote
roversfan99 Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 It was the owners that decided against the full pitch revamp, it was in the fans forum minutes that they had asked them for the funding and they declined. So the blame lies in India. Probably not aiding the numerous muscular injuries we are picking up, 4 hamstrings in 2 games. Quote

I think if the opposition teams are also picking injuries up then your argument holds water, otherwise its just our lack of peak physical fitness. Quote

I think the sheer volume of games in a short period is one of the main factors in these injuries. By next Tuesday we will have played thirteen games since the turn of the year. The stupid World Cup break and FA Cup run have exacerbated this. 1 Quote

Guest Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 With Sheffield United at home next in the league, and with our playoff hopes now feeling real, what better opportunity than now to take advantage and get more bums on seats with a bundled ticket deal for the run in? Over to you, Steve... Quote
Mattyblue Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 (edited) Norwich on Good Friday should be £10 in all areas, no strings, and then market the hell out of it. Get a bumper Easter crowd in to roar them on against a play off rival. (Obviously this won’t happen and it will be the standard Cat B, £25 to £30) Edited February 25, 2023 by Mattyblue 2 Quote

Over to you, Steve... I came on this thread to say the exact same thing. An extra 5k-10k fans for each of the final 7 games now could make a huge difference - we have the momentum on the pitch, we have to try and capitalise off it. Time to earn your salary, Steve... Mattyblue Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 (edited) Bit optimistic there, Andy! Bundles normally sell in their low hundreds at best (often I don’t think they’ve even reached three figures). Need to remember that bundles are in essence mini season tickets and a lot of your floating fanbase aren’t interested in tying themselves into a group of games, that’s why they haven’t already bought a full or half ST. Make individual games cheaper, no strings attached is the way to go. *Narrator: The CEO did neither.* Edited February 25, 2023 by Mattyblue 2 Quote

All he needs to do is reduce the ticket prices, then let season ticket holders into the home game, if we get in the play-offs, as part of the season ticket to make up for the reduction. Quote
Mattyblue Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 Dread to think of how he’d price up a play off game… Quote
