Knowing Venkys, Waggott will go, and then they will hire Bassini and Ridsdale in a similar position.

They certainly won't be hiring someone who has any shred of credibility or respect.

Lip service form a corporate BS merchant of the highest order.

His actual policies, not sound bites, have shown the exact opposite from day one.

Swag is about as transparent as it gets, to most. He’ll be slightly worried a fan driven game will be better received than any of the shite ideas he and his cronies have tried. So in that event it’ll be it’s “us” not the guys actually doing it.

He’ll try and take some credit for it no doubt.

He's all about being accessible is Steve

Anyone know what happened to the 'mandatory' bi-annual fan consultation meetings or shareholder meetings, both of which were ditched under the cover of Covid and yet to be reinstated?

He's had a couple of weeks to get his lines together and of course treated gently by the in house media.

It's a bit close to lunchtime for me to stomach that interview. I'll save it for later.

Haven’t got a striker. Losing players left right and centre. Never fear swag is here we’ve got a state of the art team bus. He’s also a believer in “great grass”. At least that answers many questions but frankly he needs to smoke a lot less of it.

The Thick Twat Twitter lot are loving the interview. 🙄 I can’t bring myself to watch it, but I’ll never trust a word that comes out of that snakes mouth.

A sea change from Waggott.

He's been invisible for years, slagged the fans off alongside Mowbray after the 30k Oxford crowd didn't turn up at Ewood again, questioned the size of the club etc

Now here we are. He loves and appreciates the fans etc etc

He's either realised what an appalling leader he's been or someone's had a word.

‘We are heading for 9,000 season ticket sales… which is 1,500 up on what we were hoping for’.

So 7,500 ST holders is seen as more than good enough for a club that’s spent two years around the top 6 of the Championship… some real high standards and expectations for Blackburn Rovers down there, obviously.

He’s a conman. Only swag could spin failing to order enough stock again into selling out kits. It’d be like a butty van ordering 10 barms then proudly announcing they’ve sold out of butties.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was JDT, he said in a presser the club need to be open about whats going on & SW just admitted he needs to keep him happy.

It wouldn't happen with T-cakes.

So a lengthy interview that actually tells us very little. I say interview because after the interviewer has set him off there are barely any questions, Waggott just goes off on one almost as through his is reading from a script.

It is amazing how he manages to make out as though the basics of operating as a professional football club - paying tax, paying wages, paying bills, relaying the pitch, getting ready to host games - is some sort of special achievement on his and his staff's part. It kind of sums up his mentality that on the eve of the new season one of the first things he talks about is how well we've done to pay our bills and tax.

The interview of a bloke panicking and throwing whatever he can out there in a bid to protect himself and his bosses from any criticism by having to remind everyone listening of just what a stellar job he's doing. No wonder the owners keep him on if they believe everything he comes out with.
