Haven't Rovers ordered 20% more kits than last season figure?

Yep, and these were (nearly) all sold out by the time of September’s fans forum.

The minutes to this suggest a further order of 3,000 was expected by early November.

The question is have these extras now also been sold or have they not turned up yet.

Even so, the optics of having no kit for sale when you’ve got people wanting to buy, are terrible.

I think they turned up and sold out again.

Did you ask any questions at the FF this week about Kits selling out yet

Who was it that said that running out of kits early is actually really good?

Yes it is good they are but Rovers fans have turned out this season to buy all 3 kits. I was there on the day of Home kit release and I was queuing outside to get buy one in the first hour of their release. Shame we can't get more kits ordered for Christmas or even start of January

It wasnt you who said it, as much as you have defended the clubs repeated inability to predict and order a sufficient number of kits to satisfy demand.

Does a 1k allocation for Millwall away feel on the light side?

It's Rovers' 'Christmas Away Fixture' this year, and we have a decent London following.

I was hoping to fly over for this one so fingers crossed it gets to open sale, I expected us to take up a bigger allocation.

At the moment they have only got an allocation for the two middle blocks of the bottom tier as we had last season (although that was a night game) so if we sell the 1000 I'm sure more will be available. I'm pretty sure they were on sale on the day last year too. It's a difficult one really with the game being so close to Christmas, in London and £27 for an adult ticket.

Thanks both, yeah I assumed we'd maybe take up extra if needed but our lot in charge aren't renowned for their decision making.

With it being our only away fixture between 10th Dec and 1st Jan (and Saturday 3pm) I'd be surprised if we don't sell that initial allocation - especially if we continue in good form.

I'm already lining up the pub crawl to The Den.

They'll have taken the first allocation because Waggot won't pay up front for any more so hopefully Millwall allocate in small blocks after the first lot are gone, if they all go.

Wouldn't hold my breath for any more if they don't.

I don't think getting a smaller initial allocation is a new thing and nor is it unique to Rovers. We don't typically bring much more than 1,000 to Millwall; as such they've allocated this initially (rather than spreading us over a bigger area) and will no doubt sell us more if or when we sell them.

Fair few Rovers supporters in London though?

First Boxing Day in front of fans at Ewood for years, big away following, exactly the kind of game that you can try and target a big crowd for, yet usually the club prices it in a way to purely milk the away support so putting a ceiling on home turnout (i.e. Cat A, A+)

Category B is exactly what it should be and I can foresee a very healthy gate for this now.

Tickets have gone on for the Boxing Day game against Sunderland and surprisingly it only Cat B. Sunderland have been allocated 7343 tickets.

Surprising it's only Cat B. A rare smart move from the powers that be.

Would expect it to surpass the 22k at Leeds.

It would be nice to break through the 15,000 home fans ceiling that seems to have materialised over the last few years. It should hardly be considered an acheivement, especially on Boxing Day, but getting up to 18-20k home fans together with 7000+ away fans would be cracking.

Sadly due to policies of the last 7-8 years I think even those numbers are a pipe dream unless the tourist clubs come to town.

Would love to be wrong though.

What's odd is Sunderland sold their allocation before ours went on sale by the looks of it, a bit odd.

"Advertised for sale" If you go on the website they have been on sale for quite a while now.

Same with most home games this season, my wife came to the QPR game earlier in the season and I got her a ticket for that before we had even played Derby!

Just not advertised until a few weeks before for some reason.
