tomphil Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Number 1 he'd have to be told by the owners 'right Steve we want to have a real go at it in the next couple of seasons' If he isn't told that why would he bother with the hassle of trying to push them for investment and ambition when he's on such a gravy train at his age ? The whole thing of Venky Rovers is their middleman goes to India doing whatever he does, receives whatever financial instructions he receives then comes back and says right as long as costs continue to be managed by us and loses stay in the region of x and we stay in this division developing players the owners are happy with it. That's the top and bottom of Blackburn Rovers in this era. Waggot will never push upwards but will do what he can to prevent a downward spiral and that's what we see year in year out. 4 Quote

Popular Post arbitro Posted December 14, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 14, 2024 It was summed up when Waggott did a pre season interview at the Academy when Tomasson was manager. He talked about survival in the Championship for the forthcoming season. He has blighted our club. 13 Quote
Norbert Rassragr Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 He's been a handbrake at best for any club he's worked at. He played his part in the decline of Coventry City and Charlton. 5 Quote

tomphil Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 'A handbrake' what a belter of a description of him that's exactly what he specialises in, slam it on just before you freewheel out of control but keep it on when you need to take it off and blast up that back u that hill. 2 Quote
smiller14 Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 The replies are what I think about him, but whilst I know he won't 'push' for promotion, to suggest he would actively oppose it doesn't make much sense. People thinking he wouldn't want to accidentally get a decent crowd (in spite of his usual uselessness in that regard) as we might win just seems a bit of a reach.... Quote

That was a dark day for our club, unbelievable that the CEO basically said there was no aspiration or expectation, apart from staying up. No wonder JDT spent every week calling him out for disrespecting our club and telling lie after lie. 7 Quote
Norbert Rassragr Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Just got an email from the BBC saying that they had taken down my message describing Waggott as a 'greasy poo' on the Championship 'what your team needs' page. I thought I was being as polite as I can. 2 Quote
Penwortham Blue Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Anyone see Swag in the hospitality today, make sure you raise the withheld seats in the JWL and Riverside for the Dingle match. Get them on sale and sold. 1 Quote
scotchrover Posted January 21 Posted January 21 Right then, how do we set about trying to remove this muppet and his sidekick (Suhail)? Whilst our owners are oblivious to what’s going on over in India (and I suspect is lapping everything up that the Geordie plonker is feeding them), Waggot attends every game, and can be got at. 4 Quote

Armchair supporter supremo Posted January 21 Posted January 21 (edited) Said it dozens of times in the past and I'll say it again... The owners and their cronies simply do not want us in the Premier league. It would cast far to big of a spotlight on them and their (insert word of choice*) dealings, just as it did when they first arrived. P. S. And yet again folk are focusing far to much on Waggot when it's been clear for years the venkys side kick Sunhail Pasha is the real villain of the piece at ewood and makes all the important decisions involving money and transfers. Waggott is just the on-site stooge and puppet acting for Venkys who would rather have the club in L1 making smaller losses. Suhail Pasha is the go-between. 1 Quote

They've done absolutely everything they possibly can to make sure they're doing that. Maybe them being in cahoots with a corrupt organisation that was involved in fraud, including money laundering, and them now being under investigation by their own government, by an agency that specifically is there to tackle money laundering has something to do with it? 2 Quote

Popular Post SuperBrfc Posted January 22 Popular Post Posted January 22 (edited) Suhail Pasha, former Kentaro, an associate of Anderson's, appears to have been a prominent figure here behind the scenes from day one of the takeover. His own words on his Linkedin were that he helped Venky's to purchase the club in 2010. It is known that Kentaro had a contract in place in the early days basically running the club on behalf of the owners and providing them with 'expertise and advice'. Why is a former Kentaro man sat in such an important role at Rovers 15 years on in 2025? A former biscuit man, who knows eff all about football. Why is he in this role? What advice can he offer to anybody on footballing matters? This is where the questions need to be directed, IMO. I will always respect JDT for saying it as it is. He said the following for a reason: 'Ask Suhail'. Edited January 22 by SuperBrfc 11 Quote
