Not rovers related but the deal to save bury fc seems to be close would be brilliant to see this Lancashire club saved, their trust have released the following.

From memory there was a lot of animosity between those that decamped to the Phoenix club and those that have tried to revive BFC

Hopefully in ruins after some of things people running that club have done to undermine two other viable takeovers, interesting one of the main people involved in setting AFC up has left and joined the rescue board to save Bury FC.  Whats funny is you see the supposed Bury FC fans now saying its afc or nothing walking away from the club they allegedly supported !

I’d take anything right now to get rid of Venkys, our situation gets no better until they are gone.

Hearts have recently been taken over fans, after bonkers owners tried to run the club into the ground, it’s the way we need to go, or we have no future.

Yep at some point we'll have to take a big hit and it'll be a painful one but it needn't be a long one as demonstrated at Bolton etc.

Went to afc bury v darwen last season and talking to locals it really split the fan base all they want to see is pro football in the boro of Bury..be interesting if the original club gets saved but in what guise as be at least another season before they can field a side..afc bury are currently on course for promotion be weird if the pheonix club is in a higher tier than the original club
