Makes sense to play TAA in midfield. He's transitioning there with Liverpool and could be class in that position - why not give him a go there in a dead cert game. It's not really a defensive move as he's been widely criticised for his defensive abilities.

Dogshit first half. Malta came at us and we played the ball around the back most of the half. Don't see the point in Henderson and rice. I like Henderson but neither are creative.  The only two who stood out were trent and maddison

Going back a few years Sweden beat Malta 12-0 in that stadium. Ibrahimovich only got 8 of them- 4 in the first 12 minutes...

Just standard stuff against minnows. Just go through the motions, no need to over exert themselves as they will still comfortably control and win the game.
